Just the tips I was looking for. Should you sand the oars down before painting them? Mine are new that have a varnish finish and wondering if it is necessary to sand them?

😅 i baught brown paint instead of stain. Maybe i should try some water colors of the kids and see if i can get something. Or maybe water down the colors. Idk.

Oh my goodness, this is beautiful! I bought a small cottage and was going to change countertops. I think i will try this. Little afraid of blowtorch, could i use a blow dryer? 😅

Lol you could use a heat gun!!! I always say be careful using epoxy on high traffic counter areas as it does scratch quote easily (you can use a ceramic coating to protect it) and a lot of epoxy finishes are t heat resistant - so no hot pans on them!!! Just do your research but most of all have fun doing the project! Its an absolute blast to do xx

Love this. I don't know how the stain made the wood grain come through when it was painted white to begin with? Looking at it again maybe it wasn't painted white. But still how did the stain get the wood grain to come through the turquoise color?

Wait... 24hr to let dry before the clear coat. What about the oil base stain need to be dry to apply the water base paint?
