Hey Tristan , Im having issues with the contact cement -pasted both sides but it seems to take forever to dry and the foam tends to try and curl up, especially on the parts that have angles,any advice? using hot glue on other parts seem to work fine.
@TristanMaker3 жыл бұрын
It sounds like you might be applying too much. You should apply a really thin layer for the parts to stick properly. If that's not the issue, maybe it's the brand of contact cement. If you are not already using Dap Weldwood or Barge contact cement, those are the 2 brands I would recommend. Make sure you are using the regular version and not the water based version.

That's a great idea. Every time you remake a prop, it turns out better than the last. :)

I bought the templates but there are so many pieces on each page, they don’t print to the right size, how am I supposed to make them the correct size?

Sorry, this is probably a silly question, as you get people of different shapes and sizes, how do I adjust the size of the individual pieces so it would custom fit me ? Thanks, great tutorial.

No institution on how to assemble the back plate?
@TristanMaker Жыл бұрын
The back plate is just one piece so there's no assembly.

@@TristanMaker What two parts are shown at 5:50? I know one is the back plate what is the other? Edit* so how is the back plate and lower back piece arranged? As you do mention the one as the lower back piece.
@TristanMaker Жыл бұрын
The upper and lower back plates are 2 separate parts. The lower back plate attaches to the belt.
