Kudos for not editing out your spillages 😊 No idea how I ended up here tho’ but where is the abrasive or is it just because you’re buffing against a spinning object? Thank you 🙏

No need for the measuring cup when mixing in a cylindrical , as you discovered when making the small batch. Thanks for the recipe. I'll try it.

I tried the ca , same as you and got same result . I still wonder if there's something that can be used as a carrier for the ca so it would be easier to apply

At the end of the day day you're spending around the same due to the shellac going bad. Been there done that but the satisfaction of making your own is sometimes worth it!

I must admit, it never once occurred to me to mix CA glue with friction polish. :-). Interesting video!

I had heard of people putting a drop of CA over a puddle of friction polish to make a superior finish... Unfortunately, I cannot really see how it would be doing that at all. Best bet is to stick to one or the other. It was need to see it curdle up though

Will the Shellac go bad before you use it all up? I like the idea of this this type of friction polish and will make some this week for my bowls.

I dont believe it will go bad. Mine has been bottled for a long time and is still good. It does seperate and need to be shaken up.

Thanks for sharing! Definitely helpful. The pen at the end was nice. What combo of wood is that?

What would happen if you did a ca finish and let it cure before using friction polish?
@cursed_to_toil3 жыл бұрын
That’s works just fine. But if you do a CA finish, make sure you go through the proper sanding techniques to get it smooth again and the. Finish with the friction polish to shine her up
