@waynesworldfishing5 жыл бұрын
Yes your right there mate. With the vitalin I would say soak with water and some flavours of your choice. Once really wet and sloppy it makes a fantastic spod mix. Add bran to the mix as well. Get it out there and they will find it. Hope you get a few mate all the best👍

I agree, since the video was made things in the bait world have really come along. I cant name any names as I am not sponsored but I am sure a quick Google search will throw up a lot of options for people. Good luck and tight lines

What else can you mix with buiscuits apart from hemp to bulk it up im gonna make boilies from it by adding eggs and milk ?
@waynesworldfishing10 жыл бұрын
Fish will eat almost anything. Try using bran flakes that have been liquidized and some liquidized bread it adds bulk for cheap and the bran gives it a fantastic malty smell. Also add some corn or better yet get some large bags of maze its dry, very cheap and again fish love it. Don't forget to check out your local pet shop as things like large sacks of bird feed will contain things that carp and bream will love to eat as well. But be careful as some waters are not to happy with people using their own ground bait so make sure you know what is in your mix and always get the thumbs up on all the contents from the owner before throwing it in the water. Catch ya later.

Another great idea is to take a trip to an animal feed supplier where you can buy Layers Mash (chicken feed) or various other types of feed. They work really well as groundbait.

It's good that your experimenting Wayne but you could keep it alot more simple,fish safe and on the cheap.The Baitech method mix you bought there you should use as is,it's formulated for optimum performance and if it's ingredients are modified then it loses it's potential.The crushed hemp is expensive when bought pre packed but if you buy hemp from the local pet store and run it through the blender just enough to crush it then that becomes substantialy cheaper.The vitalin is used buy quite a few anglers especialy carp anglers who spod it but i would tend to be thinking about what it might do to the fishes digestive system,there are alot of dried meats and other bits and bobs that swell up when they hit the water and if a carp or whatever eats a good amount of it and it swells in their stomachs it can cause a few problems.The biscuits again may have odds and sods of E numbers ect that can be dextramental to a fishes lifestyle.Like i said Wayne it's good that your experimenting but the fish have to come first afterall they are the be all and end all of the sport.You could still make a cracking groundbait (lots of it) for a fraction of what you have spent and it would be extremely effective,probably more effective than what you have put together.I don't mean to shoot you down mate just trying to give some friendly advice,iv'e been targeting big carp for the past 25 years and did loads of match fishing before that so iv'e got a bit of experience.Tight lines pal.

would say look for agricultural or horse feed shops, can pick up 5kg on hemp for a fiver but you do need to prepare it yourself, GJW titmuss is the one I use and they have pellets and such as well on the cheap! :)

Matt a totally agree Abby baits are a fantastic tackle shop not only is it stocked to the ceiling with top of the range tackle and by far the freshest baits for miles around but you also have helpful and friendly staff that know the local waters very well. I will spaek to Chris and see if he doesn't mind me maybe filming in there for up and coming videos in 2014. Catch ya later

you need to stay out of tackle shops fullstop if you want really cheap groundbait.15 year ago we were making our own cos we needed to hold huge shoals of bream .we bought sacks of vitalin from farm or pet outlets(6.00 for 25kg i think).we also bought 25kg sacks of brown crumb(to bulk out),hemp aswell and then cooked it (great sticky binder full of oil very active)tuna in large tins and coconut from commercial outlet.molases(5ltr tub cheap sweetest thing on earth)from horse feed suppliers .pellets from pet outlets v cheap use whole or liquidise.garlic salt carp ,bream kill for it.to create method mix we liquidised,for laying down a bed we often used the vitalin as it came out the sack.i know anglers used vitalin in the early days of the carp scene.tight lines
@waynesworldfishing11 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tips there John You are very right just by thinking outside of the box you can find very cheap and healthy alternatives for fish ground baits. The bait you buy in the tackle shops is great stuff don't get me wrong its just the price tag that comes with it.

you wont get qa better groundbait than just plain soil/dirt from the bank. dig a little up and give it a try before judging
@waynesworldfishing10 жыл бұрын
Your very right there Darren In some waters they don't allow ground bait at all however soil is used at these venues and it will attracted fish as it clouds the water giving them a false sense of security and fish will become curious of a cloud in the water as they think other fish have their heads down in the muddy bottom on the feed. Good tip mate thanks for the positive feedback catch ya later

Wayne Stocker thanks for your tips too Wayne, some good advice in this current economic state. the other key thing about soil Wayne is that it is naturally full of Nutrients the fish just cant resist mate, good luck Wayne Tight lines mate

Callum (British Gas) Recommended Me To Your Site So I'm Sub No: 1,015 Like No: 101. New To All This Trying To Break Into This Kind Of Fishing, So I Ask You Where Is Angling Direct "Greatwork, Well Done"
@waynesworldfishing8 жыл бұрын
Well welcome to the sport. Angling Direct is a chain of tackle shops dotted around the UK. They have a website but the store that I was at in the video was the Waltham Cross branch. They are good shops and hold lots of tackle and fresh baits. Not only chains like these are worth looking at please don't forget your local tackle shops for some top deals. Always go to your local tackle shop for any advice on local waters and methods to use on them. When I fish somewhere that I am not used to I always go to the local tackle shop as they know everything and everyone. A hub site for fishing information. This is the address of the store in the video hope it helps: Angling Direct Waltham Cross, London Unit 4, Eleanor Estate, Waltham Cross, London United Kingdom Herts EN8 7HF

Bait has always been overpriced. Iv used my own groundbait since my Grandad taught me as a lil boy. When i go carping my entire setup costs me no more then £200 with bait totally around £5. Funny thing is i catch roughyl the same amount of fish as the guy next to me who'd spend 5 times as much. Boilies are the most overpriced and the easiest of baits to make. Youd laugh after youve discovered how easy they are and how little they really cost.
@waynesworldfishing10 жыл бұрын
I agree bait is very over priced. I am not saying its no good most baits are top quality but the price is always way over the mark so that is why its best to make your own.

@waynesworldfishing11 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the post Neil, loving the idea of the "cake mix". I have been speaking to some other anglers and I have been told that some waters no longer will let people use homemade ground baits on their commercial waters. If this is the case I will be naming and shaming in the new year. I mean as long as your not tossing in battery acid I don't see the problem. I am a big believer in testing out your own baits and finding your "secret ingredient" to land that PB or record breaking fish. wet nets tight lines and as always catch ya later.
@neilphillips779811 жыл бұрын
you ok m8 we got some fisherys in Norfolk who say only use there pellets but I never do I always use blakes krill halibut etc going two be doing bigger carp waters a carp is a carp they don't just eat boiley who fishes garlic lunchen meat etc at big carp waters I use a long bit of spagtie as a stop that can be on four ages and I can put it out over 80 yards in the drink m8 try getting some cheap rice boil it slowly 4 25 mins drain the water add a nice flavour you then got a bucket off dead maggots in flavour they look good m8 were do you fish m8 cheers neil
