Loved this!! Thanks x I always just buy minced garlic and ginger because I cook with them a lot but I will make a big batch of this now that I’ve seen how easy it is!!

Freezing this recipe in small jars in opinion is better if your worried about low acidity and botulism.

I have a grocery bag full of garlic. now I know I can make minced garlic 😋 can you make garlic powder out of it?
@preparedhomesteaders4662
@preparedhomesteaders4662 Жыл бұрын
You can freeze dry or dehydrate the minced garlic, with no oil, then use a coffee grinder to powder it as coarse or as fine as you like. I freeze a bunch then keep it in a vacuum sealed jar and when I run out of powder I just grind some more. It tastes so much better than store bought.

Nice simple recipe... Couldn't have made it any clearer. We have a glut of small garlic bulbs... This approach is perfect for dealing with small(er) bulbs 🙏

Try this. Cut the root end off the bottom. It'll all fall apart. Then thwack it with your knife. Bam. The skin is off with almost no effort. :) Thank you for your video.

what about botulism

I mean I get where you're coming from.. but I just threw out all my garlic because I have anxiety and I'm afraid of dying. This is exactly how the big companies want you to feel because if you start canning or making your own things then you won't buy theirs. How do you think people made it in the olden days? They said a prayer and didnt worry about preservatives or anything.

ok here's what I can tell you... I've been using this method for about 2 years. My jar in the fridge is about 9 months old now. When I first researched doing this I didn't see all of the botulism problems by doing it like this. Now, I've seen like 5 videos that say its only good for about 2 months. Great!! I just used some a couple of days ago and nobody is sick, thank god. I'm a little afraid now. I'm gonna throw it out. A huge freaking jar out! I'm pissed.

@@pitbull1026 Don't be afraid. Do this method but store in small jars, like 4 ounce Mason jars. Keep one in fridge and freeze the rest. I cook daily for two and 4 ounces last me about a month. Thaw frozen jars in fridge as you need more. 👍🏾
