I love the unstructured way you teach. Its like having a friend in the sewing room! Whenever I need a break from patterns, I do mini blocks or unstructured scrap blocks. Its very relaxing! :)

Brilliant Ibut I would draw my pattern; on freezer paper so you can keep those beautiful curves and sizing variations, photograph it before cutting so I don’t get lost and then use the freezer paper as a template

You don't need a $5000 machine. My husband bought me one recently (a BL Unity), and to be totally honest (and no one tell him this), it sews just about the same as my old purchased-at-Walmart machine.

I just bought a vintage Sears Kenmore sewing machine for $85. Works perfectly. All you NEED is a straight stitch sewing machine to make amazing quilts. But if you WANT a $5000 machine, well, that's another story.
