Great tutorial! I've been fermenting foods for several months and I love the health benefits. Currently, I ferment Cabbage Rejuvelac, which is an European process of thousands of years, which is crazy loaded with probiotics and nutrients. Also,Milk Kefir which is also probiotic rich. I drink 6 T of raw, organic ACV with the mother in a small amt. of distilled water every am. But, I will probably begin to make my own ACV. :)

Would you mind making a video on Gelatin as a DIY hair gel, or protein treatment?! I'm aware it is made of hydrolysed collagen (protein) so it could be good for a protein treatment, maybe it can even be made with rice water for fortification. Or it could be diluted with aloe Vera gel and used as a daily moisturizer instead.

👍👍👍ANOTHER great, eye opening video. I'll keep buying mine though.😀 Can you do a rice water rinse followed by an ACV rinse in the same wash day? Each offers its own benefits and I don't want them to cancel each other out. Please advise.
@GreenBeauty
@GreenBeauty 7 жыл бұрын
The only reason why I think they may clash is that the ACV rinse may disturb the thin protective coating of rice water on your hair. But, since rice water also bonds well with hair fibers you should have any problems. That would be a good experiment. After washing your hair try doing just a rice water rinse on half your hair and a rice water followed by an ACV rinse on the other half. Compare the results
@alitrawynn8102

+GreenBeauty Thanks for the quick, thorough response. That's a great idea! I only wash my hair once a month between protective styles so I want to get it right. I'm going to do them both and I'll come back and let you know the results. Thx!

+GreenBeauty I did the rice water rinse followed by an ACV rinse and I liked the results. I got some of the softness that the ACV rinse supplies alone and the full strengthening effect that I always get from the rice water rinse. Not as soft as it usually gets from just ACV rinse alone but overall I'm happy with the result and happy I tried it. Will likely do both again.

@green beauty can you do a video on whether coconut oil is a moisturizer or a sealant???? Pretty please
@GreenBeauty
@GreenBeauty 7 жыл бұрын
Coconut oil penetrates hair strands and makes it feel more lubricated and flexible. It's also a sealant that coats the outer part of the hair. A little goes a long way so use a small amount at a time. Water is the only thing that can moisturize the hair. So, if you add coconut oil to slightly damp hair the coconut oil with help seal it and trap some of the water molecules in your hair. So, your hair will be moisturized, lubricated and sealed.

Hi. As always, thanks for all the great and useful information that you share. Quick question: Is this the same as Kombucha Scoby? Or at least the same concept? Also, would you recommend starting my 1st batch using Kombucha?
@GreenBeauty
@GreenBeauty 7 жыл бұрын
Hey Mia, Thank You 😊 You can use your Kombucha SCOBY to make apple cider vinegar. The main difference between kombucha and ACV is that kombucha has an acid called "gluconic acid", while ACV does not. But, overall they are very similar so, you can put apple pieces, distilled water and sugar in a glass or ceramic jar and cover with a cheesecloth. The SCOBY should be able to turn it into apple cider vinegar. The sugar is optional but, it's a great way to kick-start the process and speed things up. I hope this helps 🙂
