It really needs tweeking for every monitor. When I used your exact setting it changed it so that noon looked like dusk, really dramatic change, not close to what you see in the video. But it is a very good tool.

This is a lot better than several others I've tried. It does help to have dynamic (full range) setting on the nvidia control panel to get the best results. I have a 4k 60 gysnc, 2080ti, 8086k and this looks amazing.

Much better than default, you really see how green/yellow the default colours look when using these. I prefer Nvidia filers than something like Reshade, better performance in my opinion. Only issue with Nvidia Filters is that when a new driver releases it deleted them and there is now way of backing that up or at least I don't think there is. Great video 👍

Ah yeah that’s a good point! I never considered driver updates. Bit of an oversight from nvidia? You’d think they could backup as part of driver updates

I saved my settings by writing every single filter setting on paper almost 1 year ago. Every time I update the drivers I adjust again, takes me 1 minute. Old method but very efficient!

Been using the filters for over a year now and I made my own adjustments as you can change the settings how you like it. Do use more of your GPU thought. that being said I used it when I had the 1660TI and now with the 3090. DOwnsied that for every damn Driver update you have to re-add them again. So once you are happy take images of your settings and save them to copy them when drivers get updates. Works well also for ETS and ATS

For my personal taste the original image looks more realistic. Contrast is very high with your settings and colors oversaturated. At least when watching on my calibrated monitor (calibrated it myself with the Spyder calibration device). I can only recommend to anyone to calibrate your monitors, this brings the biggest effect (and will not only affect games but everything). By default most monitors are set way too cold/ blueish, far from neutral. Even expensive ones. Especially if you are also doing photo or video stuff, a calibrated monitor is an absolute must.

I need some help! ..on my 4060ti inside the MSFS 2020 I press ALT+F3, the Game Filter bar it will open but I cannot do anything...I don't see at all the "Styles" and the number below how you show here. I really dont' now why..what I do wrong or I'm missing?

I use the filters set to my liking. It’s a shame that with each new Nvidia driver I install a a clean install it erases my setting. I just take photos of my settings so I know what they are. I also played around with my monitor colour settings too to refine it further to my liking

Side Note: If you record your game play; most likely you have your recorder pointed to the .exe of the game. What you see on the monitor with filters is not what you are recording. I use OBS recorder and you 'could' record your physical display but I found that stuttered for iRacing (not sure on MSFS). But OBS does have some filtering capability for the source you are recording to help out a little. Right click 'source' and select filters. Lots of trial and error setting filter, recording, watching, rinse and repeat. Use of LUTS is another whole ball game.

Good point! In my case, I record the actual display. I found that if I use pop out displays for instruments, if I was recording the game, it would just record the pop outs, not the actual game. I read that recording the display was worse for performance but thankfully flight sim doesn’t need loads of FPS to feel decent

I generally fly a320/737 so use what’s in the plane. Though simtoolkit pro offers a map with weather overlay, they also let you throw it into OBS as a browser source, so I often show it during the live streams

Thank you for creating this video. I did try them out and the results were really impressive. However, I encountered an issue when attempting to apply the settings. Unfortunately, it caused my flight simulator to crash consistently. I want to mention that I'm using an RTX4090 graphics card and I even experimented with three different drivers in the hopes of resolving the problem, but unfortunately, none of them made a difference 😢.

Exactly the same here! MSFS crashed after a couple of sliders were changed. I guess we're never happy with what we have and always want more, or better! Let's not fix what isn't broken, I say :)

Do you also use the Google earth images for the world or are you using the standard Bing maps images? I have a feeling that the Bing maps is already more vibrant feeling and that the Google earth images are more subdued/grounded.

Double odd, closed msfs and started again (third time) and now the filters and 4 profile settings are there. I had to initially enable "Photo mode / Game Filter", so if this the case you may want to reboot the PC for this setting to work properly.

Yeah being CPU limited is a problem, that's for sure. Tempted by a new 40 series Nvidia GPU as DLSS goes some way to get around this. Tricky!

Hmm, its just my personal opinion but the videos title doesn't suit the result. They're is literally nothing realistic about it, quite the contrary, its even less realistic. I know people like to do this and say "super, duper ultra realistic" and at the end what it actually is, is cinematic. Irl those colors are far away from whats shown. The shadows are less darker, the saturation is much less etc If you compare real world pictures you will see that what you and other people call realistic isn't realistic at all. What it does though, is to give it more coloefullnes and saturation but thats not realistic. For me personally except for removing some bloom, removing some saturation and changing the tint, there is nothing you can do to actually make it more realistic. The engine isn't ready yet
