This was probably the best Resolve basics tutorial I have ever come across specifically with cineprint16. I am watching this in preparation for the second hand Sony a7iii I just picked up and will be shooting some video in Japan next month. My question is this Daiki: I've read online that with the a7iii specifically and its 8bit limitations, it is best to shoot video in h-log3 vs s-log due to the 8bit limitations. But, I also see everyone CST at rec709 for their videos when loading them up into Resolve. With that being said, should I be shooting my videos on my a7iii in Rec709 since it has that color profile? Or would I be losing out on details vs if I were to shoot in h-log3 and then import and then transform my footage into rec709 whilst layering on the Cineprint16?! Hopefully my question makes sense and again thank you again for such a great breakdown for the basics of grading with Resolve+Cineprint16!!

I wish you covered the cineprint part which has the 2383 prints. Also why is there seperate nodes for exposure & white balance and other things if I could just edit them in a one node? That does not make sense, I wish you also covered how to tone the others nodes down like you did with the halation part because when you explained the white balance you did not cover how I change it I feel like we need another In-depth tutorial or maybe that's just me! Great tutorial and I learned so much and you did great explaining everything! thank you
@daikishinomiya Жыл бұрын
2383: It's defo a video that I'm considering making! Nodes: Always good to keep things in separate nodes so that you can really fine tune it! If you bunched up all your edits in one node, it can get hard to keep track of what does what. To tone down the nodes, check out 11:52 and the Key Tab! You can reduce the "strength" of any node :)
