I never bothered to look into the essential sound panel, playing around with the gain on each track is so much more difficult, thanks.

Hi Mike, After watching many of your videos, I started doing all of my audio editing in Audition. But I'm still very green at it. I am an audiophile so I absolutely want great quality audio, but for creating content, my focus is on the video editing. So I don't want audio to take up too much of my time. Based on that, do you recommend sticking with premiere pro for my audio editing? Or keep using audition since it's more powerful? Love your channel, I wish I could get your results :D

Bad audio in a video can lose you a viewer so I think it’s always advisable to ensure your video audio sounds great. Depending on what you’re doing to the audio you may well be able to accomplish that in Premiere Pro

I just have a small question (this has helped a lot by the way :D), but when you export the video, do you need to mess with the loudness normalization setting in the effects tab? Or, because you did all the loudness stuff in editing, you do not need to worry about that setting when exporting. Thank you in advance :D great video!

You should be ok as long as you've taken care of levels in the editing

How do you adjust the OUTPUT audio volume? I can never find the answer to this. I can have 3 videos with audio at -6db and they can all sound different when output and played back.
@MikeRussell
@MikeRussell Жыл бұрын
Worth noting that amplitude and perceived loudness are two very different things. You might want to look into LUFS normalisation
@JTIZZO

@Mike Russell I will do that. Thank you sir. I recall seeing 1 video early on when I was learning premiere that mentioned I out and output volumes, but I have never found anything about it since then.

@Mike Russell My biggest problem is no one talk about what we do on our KZbin channel. Specifically, live music. So everything I learn about this or that in minimally useful. Perhaps I should not be adjusting the amplitude the way I am (which you did mention in this video), which leaves the question of how to achieve the best sound at lower amplitudes. Ah well, always improving....
