Hello everyone! How are you doing? Today, I am back with another tutorial for you all. In this video, I will show you how to make this adorable, soft & cuddly black cat which will become your very cozy and cute bed friend. I used a mid-size black chenille for this plushie, and I think this size of yarn is very suitable to make larger plushies. I demonstrated using the beige milk cotton yarn in the video because you will not see any stitch if I used black yarn. If you are following this tutorial, just use your desired yarn right away. Some parts of this are inaccurate, as it’s missing the the R4-R9 9sc [9] In the arm And part of row 12 in the body: R12: 3 sc, (4sc together with arm)… (The 4sc together with arm is already written, I just typed it in so it’s clear where the 3 sc is supposed to be. It’s right before the first 4 sc together with arm.) There is also a repeat of R15.

Eyes: R1 7sc in mr, 1sl st [7] R2 Ch1, 7inc, 1sl st [14] R3 Ch1, (1sc, 1inc)*7 [21] Cut yarn and use a needle to insert into the first stitch of round three, then insert into the back loop of the final stitch and the loop underneath it. Pull the yarn slowly and weave in the ends. For the final product, the ‘wrong side’ will be showing.

For everyone who wants to make a tail since this pattern doenst have any try this; Start with a magic ring and crochet 6 sc into the magic ring. Then inc in every stitch. Then crochet around for as many rounds as u like (depends on how long you want your tail to be) and sew it on to the back of your cat. Have fun🎉

I also added some wire crocheted into the whiskers so the whiskers stood straight out and you can form them into a shape you want

Here’s a pattern of a different tail R1: 6 sc in MR R2: inc *6 R3: sc *12 R4: (2sc,1dec)*3 R5 - R7: sc *8 You can make it however long as u want :D

Just finished mine and I'll be giving it to my 3 year old sister as a present , i used an entirely different color combo and it turned out soooo good , the best thing about this pattern is it doesnt involve alot of sewing , only the ears so thank you ..I'll check out your other tutorials for sure ❤❤❤❤😊

when i made this i struggled making the magic ring and loosening tension what helped me create my perfect kitty was wrapping the yarn looser and less around my fingers i noticed because this black chenille is thicker it holds more of a grip on you so you gotta loosen up (also stuff your cat more my cat has nothing in his head no thoughts head empty, hes dumb but i love him)

I upscaled mine. (10 mm hook, with size 7 Sweet Snuggles yarn by Loops and Threads). The only issue I ran into is that it got a bit twisted, mostly due to the nature of crochet and the size I made mine, nearly 2 feet tall. So I recommend going off of sight for crocheting in the arms.

i noticed this pattern didn't have a tail so i added one by making an arm and stopping and closing it up after finishing round 7 and then sewed it on around round 5 you could probably put it on how you put on the arms but i added it after i finished it so im not sure how that will affect it

You might have finished off the arms incorrectly. If you crocheted 4 stitches to connect the arm sides that should have been easily added into the body as your just crocheting the same 4 stitches into the actual body if that makes sense.

so me and my cousin also went through this same dilemma and we found a way to fix it, we basically just placed the arms wherever we thought it looked the best and then made sure the stitch count added up in the end bc in reality THATS all that matters, hopefully this helps someone at least

The body part will be okay but eyes appliqué will turn out bigger compared to head. So, use felt cloth for white circle of the eye as well so that you can adjust the size!
