I'm surprised you did not weld the nuts on the inside of the plates that go to the frame. It will make it so much easier to take out those bolts out with one wrench, if you have to pull the motor. This is such a nice cool build. Can't wait to see this one finished.

Brent makes things looks so easy, don't feel so bad Karl, I'm sure most folks who align themselves up against Brent don't know that much, or nothing compared to that dude. The guys a genius in his field. He's does some nice, nice, kustom work from Junk that just blows my mind. I"ve been binge watching the guys Channel for about a month now and he's definitely one of my new favorite channels, I highly recommend what he has to offer on Halfass Kustoms, he's located in Southern Manitoba in a town called Steinbach.

Hey, long time truck mechanic here, now retired. Truck frames like this are often some sort of heat treated alloy steel, a bit like a spring. Manufacturers bolt or rivet the load bearing stressed stuff through the main upright web, and leave the flanges mostly unmolested. Gotta be careful about creating stress risers and cracks in the open unboxed parts of the frame on a load hauler like this. Love watching your projects, you're a great teacher

@Garyatairfab

Wow, that’d clash pretty bad! Those guys all have extremely different styles. Bad Chad and Karl are at opposite ends of the fabrication spectrum. Karl is perfection and Chad is “well that’s good enough for me and if you don’t like it go watch someone else”. Each to his own is what I say.

@-.MakeItKustom Always a little leery of responding, but do see the green check. Don't know what the "short list" is though. I follow several you tubers and you are definitely one of the better fabricators. Mine is "Old School" talent learned in the sixties and seventies. Most I find fault with some of their work, but you seem to be spot on and explain what you are doing clearly. I inherited a 60 Cadillac Coupe de ville, like Kristina's, it is white and near mint. Did a lower fender repair on it in the early seventies. Almost identical to the way you repaired hers. Live in the rust belt. Also have a 1952 Ford F-1 in bad need of TLC. Keep up the good work!

My friend it is always a pleasure to watch you work And now it looks like you have your plasma cutter running "GHOST YOUR HARD DRIVE" so you don't loose your data Easy to do Free software all over the innerwebs And it is a major load off the mind if this ever happens again (pc breaking down) You can put your ghosted copy of your drive in a another computer and away you go than get your old one fixed And God forbid You should experience a catastrophic failure of your hard drive or os you only have to put the ghost in and away you go(again) I made my heart sink when you mentioned it went down and I just had to say something God bless And I hope this helps
