@@garrydye2394 "Nobody ever gives a bad review because they know no company would ever send them anything for free again if they just trashed the last camera." -> Exactly. Sadly this phrase actually works on a lot of people, including me I used to think those were actually honest reviews or at least closer to being honest than a sponsored ad, but in truth, it's really not.

Im new to cinema grade cameras but have been using the Limix S5 / S5II for a while. I bought Ronin4D last year and feel like I just fell lucky. WIth the Lmount all the lenses work incredibly well off the bat. Ive done loads of solo run n gun work, interviews, dolly shots. Its a super easy setup. I was worried last year as a lot of the facebook groups were scaremongering around DJI abandoning this camera but I feel they are being slow and steady with this product and its accessories and its paying off. I now feel like I've invested in a good body with compatible lenses with my much loved B camera and its easy to use for a newbie with lots of options as my jobs grow. Future is feeling bright. And with this update the body will start to retain value as demand outsrips supply!!! Ive filmed ppro soccer games, poledancers, runners, celeb interviews, live influencer events and its robust!!!

It's reassuring to know you aren't alone in this costly obsession. The trick is finding those with both value and budget for the work that can be done with the tools you need for the job. For a creative on a budget there is always renting, or take a job with a production company that will give you access to those tools. I just wish there was more of Josh's work to enjoy, I'm thankful he can make the work he shares on this platform viable with the commitments of family.

I’d happily run a DJI handset, motors, and LiDar module as a 1st AC, but the extra breakout boxes, requirement to use their transmission, etc. really make it subpar for pro AC gigs. The range is nice, but usually what I need is low latency, not range.
