My 07 60 series makes a lot of sense. A lot of money. Idk what you are talking about
@JoshsTruckingadventures7 ай бұрын
@@NinoAmerica the majority don’t have them paid off. It also depends on your business and what you pull. Lots of variables. But if you had a proper speced aero truck that was paid off for what you do compared to a classic you’d make a lot more profit. That’s the point I’m making. You calculate the average classic gets 4.5-6.6 mpg. Most aero trucks are 6.8-9. That’s a lot of money givin to the greedy oil companies and not on your bottom line.
@Curious-c1c3 ай бұрын
The 'old-style' classic trucks aren't feasible anymore...economically. The newer Aero-efficient trucks are the only real choice going forward - at least if you want to be successful/comfortable/not-broke - just sayin'

I’m not a fan of former fleet trucks. They don’t do the required maintenance. They change the oil and tires and that’s about it. I won’t buy used again. However, when buying a used truck; change the DEF filter, run the overhead, have the DPF and DOC cleaned by DPF Alternatives, do a DieselForce service. You’ll fix a lot of issues before they happen doing that list. I did that on any used truck I bought. You’d be surprised how much soot and carbon is in these engines from large fleets.

You probably paid 25-30k less than if you bought a year ago and you got that $15k TriPac as a nice bonus. Inventory is going up while prices are coming down. I bought my 2017 ProStar back in late '20 from a large fleet. They put new rubber, new alum wheels, new bumper, fixed and serviced the apu as well. I wouldn't hesitate buying another truck from a large fleet. I plan on upgrading to a '21 or '22 in the springtime. Very nice truck Sammy.

@littlefellatrucking324 I took mine acc sensor from the front bumper and pointed it to the ground you will have to zip tie it up now it doesn't beep or slow me down when cruise is set that might fix yours or your acc sensor might be going out every one and a while mine beeps when I'm in traffic and it picks up the metal bridge joints but that's it

No no no a huge fleet will run those trucks into the ground before they turn them in. Air bags will leak and all the filters need replacing plus air dryers are always clogged and need replacing and dont forget to change all the brake chambers also and the drive and acc belt too then it will run for a while but I always thought Cummins but as long as a paccar gets the oil tapped off and the recalls taken care of and the coolant level right they are the best and I get 8.2mpg with a 20k load and 7.2 with 42k and one last thing the mitigation system will be hell to Uninstall because they need to disconnect it from the abs brakes also so these things should be the reason not to buy a fleet truck with idle c ut off and the mitt system
