Julius Brown Yeah, maybe I over exaggerated. I just heard alot of Vision of Love covers and they never even come remotely close to Mariah's studio and even live versions of the song. Her's was refreshing, but there was some errors.

This was hands down the best Mariah cover ever done in history. I've been a Mariah fan since VOL but I haven't heard every Mariah song cover out there. Though, I challenge anybody to show me a better one. She didn't try to copy Mariah and yet she captured the very essence of the song but in her own way, which is almost impossible to do. But she just showed it is. And it sounded effortless and magnificent.

😂😂😂😂 Must be one of the dislikers here! She dodged notes? I get if "dodging" means avoiding difficult notes to play it safe but what McKenzie did here is improvisation. She made this version HER OWN (she in fact added some riffs absent in the original version and c'mon it's a new rendition for a reason not a Karaoke performance) and i believe that's what a great performance means cuz simply put, you don't copycat everything out of one song detail by detail in a talent show and expect all wows by people cuz you ace em notes.
