Another nice review brother. I just picked up the 46 for $23 and some change in my local Sam's Club in the US. Sounds like I got a heck of a deal so I am really looking forward to trying it. I know this is an older review but thanks again for putting it out!

Good call Rob, i actually prefer the standard release over the 46 as well. And the 46 is only aged a few more months longer than the standard release.

Makers Mark is aged 5-7 years and is pulled from the barrels based on taste not age. Makers 46 is dumped from the barrels and then the staves are added and the makers of put back in and then finished in a limestone cooled warehouse for 9 weeks.

Early on in the video you said you thought the regular Maker's was 3-4 years old. Can't be 3 as they would need to specify the age. At least 4...which you said later on in the vid. I haven't had regular Maker's as we get it watered down to 40%abv in Australia and that annoys me. I find the 46 quite drying. It lacks the sweetness in the back of the palate that I want from a bourbon. Is the regular like this?

Duty free has Makers 46 for $35. Even though I’m not a huge Makers fan, at that price I think I’ll give it a whirl!

The staves of Makers 46 are “seared” or heavily toasted and not charred. Love regular Makers but wasn't a fan of the 46 the oak staves seem to leave a dry finish in the mouth after drinking it.

Too me these are night and day apart, the M46 ($65 cad) is one of my favorite Whiskies and it is always in my bar. The Makers Mark cask strength is one of the best cask strength Bourbon's I have ever tried but I am very partial to wheated Bourbon I can't stand either guy but I see no way McGregor even lands a clean punch, my prediction is that McGregor ends up DQ'ing himself when he jumps on Floyd and pounds him after rounds of frustration. Lucky for McGregor that Mayweather has 0 punching power.

I don't know which one I dislike the most. Actually I do. McGregor represents a kind of piece of shit you find all over the U.K and Ireland. You don't want him as a neighbour. I used to drink Makers Mark 25 years ago but I can't remember its style. Glad you recognised your mistake - London does not represent England. I wish you would mark in points Rob.

Welsh Toro I have been giving a number with the letter grade lately. We'll see. I have trouble with pinning a whisky down without a little leeway. I apologize for the City/country slip up.

I just woke up and the fight's over. I didn't see it. Was any good as a spectacle? Rob, it's your show and you can mark any way you like. Another commentator made the point that as we only buy whisky we think we'll like the score range is likely to be between 80 - 94 points anyway. The entire range is 14 points.. Scoring's just a bit of fun anyway and should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Welsh Toro it was an entertaining fight for sure. Scoring is a fickle thing. Needs to be done but always a bit skewed.

Yuk!!!A cherry bomb,and way too sweet..original Makers Mark is actually miles better.French staves...👎,tried a French twist to a Jura whisky which was crap too..HORRIBLE!!🤮
