Hi Aaron, thanks for the video, I haven’t sewn a gunslinger pattern yet, so this was very helpful for this newbee! Gary+

It seems to me that it would be better to start marking the pattern from the other end of the belt (set back a bit from the first belt hole, like you suggested on the other end). That way you wouldn't end up with a short, out-of-proportion scallop on the part of the belt that is most visible. What do you think?

Great looking pattern, I'd be interested in the pattern for a 1 3/4" belt although I doubt I'd try it any time soon since I don't yet own a machine. I think that much hand stitching might make me crazy.

We used to sell them. You can find them at many hardware stores nowadays though.

Question: would you break the gunslinger pattern in the middle to add a name? if so would it be better to break the pattern at the points and not the scallops?

Hi Aaron, I have heard you talk about your different sewing machines. Can you teach a newby what the difference in the various machines means. Like what is a type 18 machine?

Can you please make a video on how to make a ranger style belt, including how to measure for one? I'm learning a lot from your videos so please keep them coming. Thanks.

How do you recommend I remove the protective material on the back of the template with out damaging it?
@makersleathersupply12205 жыл бұрын
It peels off easily. Use a hair dryer to warm it if it's being stubborn.

I am in the UK, what is the reason for it to be called the "gunslinger pattern". I would call it decorative stitching?
@makersleathersupply12206 жыл бұрын
I have no clue, I didnt name it. Been doing leatherwork fir almost 20 years and this is what I've always heard it called.
@peternettleton81566 жыл бұрын
@@makersleathersupply1220 I didn't think you had called it that Aaron, just curious how it got it's name, will google it and see if anything comes up.

It's typically called "boot stitch" the "gunslinger " name came from Clint Eastwood westerns as he wore a belt with that design in most of his movies.
