Really doing freelance 3D work is not as hard as you might think & you could easily make that money in a couple of days - everyone doesnt expect AAA quality and I would argue the wages can be quite good, you just have to know where to look for customers (or where they will look for you) ;3 Its not uncommon that people list jobs where they already have talent within there company that could do the work themselves but where they simply dont have time to get the task done (or private individuals in the same situation, they know how to, they know its easy, but they dont consider themselves to have the time) - it be creating an animation shot of a premade scene, modeling some interiors or doing some basic simulations.

Hum, few cool things that would be cool to use this VR environment would be while 3D modeling a car; another (and one i advise u to make a video of) is making a photograph into 3D. People will be amazed to see u inside a moment of your past using just a picture bro, do that video. And nice job dude, keep at it.
