Makes scans and copies darker on HP MFP

On the left side of the device, underneath the scanner assembly, make sure the scanner lock is in the unlocked position. Turn the device off, then on. If the message reappears, record the message and contact support. This problem affects scanning, but some printing functions might still be available. OK 30.01.08 - Scanner failure

After applying this setting printing and photocopies have become darker but while scanning a document some lines are dark and some lines are light. Please Suggest How Can we Improve this?
