I love everything you made this time Vic. You are the reason I came back to garment sewing and look forward to all your videos. I’m laid up right now with a deep bone bruise to my left hip after a fall. I can’t get up the stairs to my sewing room and even pre washing an order of new fabric from FM nearly killed me. I’m getting bored, lying in bed, but I’m healing slowly. My fall was 3 weeks ago and I can’t finally go to the kitchen and bathroom with my walker and not say one bad word. Perhaps by the first of next week I can drag myself up by pulling on the handrail. I have way too much fabric and many patterns that need attention! Enjoy walking that puppy. I miss going out with my Springer but she is too powerful for this 73 year old to risk it right now. If she saw a squirrel it would be over before I could release the leash.

The way you make a pattern your own is really impressive Viv. Some of those patterns I honestly wouldn't take a second look at but you make a couple of changes to them, hem length, sleeve length, a unique fabric and just like that I'm scrambling for a pencil to write down the pattern number, lol! You've got vision!

I love, love, love every single look on you! These clothes are so lovely and look really stunning on you. 💖 🏆 I felt like I was watching the Vivmom Sews Designer's line of new Fall Collection being modelled during Fashion Week. I'm so glad you decided to open the show with your ultra elegant mauve dress. You could wear this understated, while still looking sheik, even avante garde design any where. You do look like the very elegant, lovely lady that you are. This overall aesthetic comes through equally as breathtaking in your Art Deco blue rayon-crepe dress with such gorgeous oversized soft green leaves. Finishing the sleeve edges in blue velvet just took this look over the top. I had to smile when you introduced your chic striped top and pants as being a wonderful outfit for going to the dog park. You are right you could where it there to walk Sinya and find yourself being whisked away for a trendy lunch with your handsome beau Brad. Your true "lunching outfit" is darling. I love the fabrics chosen and the style. In this understated apparrel, you look perfectly picturesque! Yes, I agree, you could dress it down with jeans and tying the blouse in the front looked fun. Totally different look 😊 Yes, those leaves on your elegant dress are absolutely gorgeous. The simplicity of these lines make the dress quite the opposite to the sack you mentioned. Very Parisian with or without sneakers! Ending the show with a deep hunter green colored jumpsuit, made in Italian stretch denim, is an classy casual outfit! Putting on your dark green thin weighted long cardigan finished the look superbly. When you said goodbye, I thought you really could go anywhere feeling and looking wonderful! Thank you Vivian! You have truly inspired me and watching.this video was so much fun! Best wishes to you and your family for a blessed Thanksgiving. Here in Canada, Thanksgiving is less than a week a way. Hi Viv! You are looking great! I love all the outfits you've made, but when you put on the leaf dress, I thought, "Oh WOW!" No grocery sac look there. A long time ago we moved to the city from the farm and brought out border collie with us. She was used to running free, so like you, there was a lot of walking. Race walking. One evening a retired gentleman was watering his flowers as we went by and he said, "I see your dog is taking you for a walk, again." I would switch the hand I held the leash with and in the end my wedding ring was warped into an oval shape. Thanks for the memories. She crossed the rainbow bridge a very long time ago, due to old age.🐈‍⬛🍁

My sister lives in Alexandria VA, she's a dog lover and she also turned 60 this year! I wonder if your paths have crossed! We are on the other side of the country in Las Vegas, NV. I showed my husband your Zinnia video, we are a 1 cat household, empty nesters and my Paul wants a dog someday soon again. I loved your story about Zinnia and how she's changed your lives! I loved to also hear you've painted your living room 9 times in the 21 years you've lived in your home, I have found new license ha! We got a rescue lab/ put. She has so much energy. I was doing the same thing. We started walking at 4am and the last was around 11 at night. I was exhausted. She hyperextend my knee and tore my meniscus. She pulled me into a little hole and I sprained my ankle. Wasn’t sure I would survive. I got a fence and am doing better. Walks are reasonable and she is so proud of the the fact that she keeps her yard free of monsters and critters. Love your style and sewing .

Omg Valerie! I’m so glad things have improved! So sorry for your injuries. Every day we are scheming to get Zinnia exercise. Dog park is figuring less & less. She’s doing well running alongside Brad’s bicycle. We’re enrolling her in doggy daycare and she starts puppy kindergarten next week. And walks. Walks walks walks! A puppy is no joke!! Godspeed!

You are so right about patterns. For me I enjoy simple lines as you do and let your fabric choice do the talking. The lady who gave you advice about cooking meals at home sounds like my Mom. She ran a business, I was self employed and I used the same strategy to get me through the week to have home cooked meals on the table. It makes all the difference, and now my 40 year old daughter daughter cooks for her family. Love all your makes Viv, and the dress you made for the wedding is chic, comfortable and the fabric is lovely.
