How to Fix IP Address Errors on Android

I have the T-Mobile Hotspot device and I can see the hotspot name in the list of wifi options but it WILL NOT connect? Please help/explain.

DHCP isnt showing up, the IP address is showing but when i check the phone's IP it says it's not available
