The corrupted data issue seems to be really common among the PS4 community so I wonder why PlayStation hasn’t really mentioned anything about it? I have both ps4 and Xbox 360 aswell as other consoles (ps3 , ps2 ,ps1 e.t.c.) but xbox is just as bad with red light of death or whatever it's called. However i have recentiy had to keep initialize my ps4 and its really annoying , today i got message your ps4 database is corrupt, so i reset my ps4 (held power Button down for 10 to 15 seconds) went to reset database (option number 5 on safe mode settings) and it wouldn't reset database (when this first happened to me i got it to reset up to about 26% then would just freeze or automatically turn itself off) , so i had to initialize my ps4 AGAIN 🙄 and go through all the bs of setting it up again (luckily thus time i saved all my saved data to online cloud storage so i can always liad it up whenever I need it). When this first happened to me i thought my ps4 was completely broken and figured it's a sign from sony asking me to buy a PS5 which is my intention next year (especially if they bring out a updated version like they did with ps4 pro).

Allright if any of you having problems with corruption look into your disc and look for smudges and scratches and wipe them carefully with a specific material wiper that are meant for phone glasses and disc cleaning and good night

It downloads the game alright, but when it’s downloading the updates it always stops on version 1.33 at about 420 mb left and says it’s corrupted. Did the initialize option and it worked for some time. The problem came back however and is on-going. It gives a random blue screen and tells me to delete the game im currently playing die to corrupted data. I bought a ssd and it fixed the problem. I thought it was maybe the internet connection but I have a wired connection so I doubt it. If you dont want to spend the money on a ssd or a new harddrive try reformatting it on safe mode.

I’m trying to play gta online so I have to got through the prologue usually while I’m doing the prologue my game freezes and crashing leaving me with an error saying “cannot continue using this application, the data is corrupted”. I have a problem when I load up a game in bo4 blackout... it kicks me and says my extended storage is corrupted

Oh my god this worked. I was panicking. Luckily I just had to restore the licenses and wipe the disk.

I had the same problem with Assassins Creed: The Ezio Collection in AC II, so i just deleted the corrupted save data and continued playing from the last save and it worked. No more errors.

I'm not getting a corrupted data error. The game is acting corrupted and unstable. All I want to know is how to remove it and reinstall it from the ps4 website without having to pay for it again.

Had this problem today with a game. I tried what the video suggested but it didn’t work. If your on the home page and see the disc with the corrupted file I’d suggest you hit options and delete it. After deleting it reinstall the game. This worked for me. Hopefully this works for others

Usually it’s just a very dirty disc. I just got a towel and cleaned the disc and it worked fine
