Access to water within 10 miles City library Museum Snow removal Good schools Pastry shops (I know this isn't a priority, but if you make the system easy enough people will do it for you.) Rental prices more than 2,000 Rental prices more than 1,000 Get the idea? I'm retired, financially well off, love reading, no kids (or grandkids) does Canada want me to move in, spend my money? Then make it easier. !I could click off my choices and have a list of small towns / villages. I have 6 pages of scribbled notes so far

The younger you are the more points you get if you use programs like Express Entry - it’s not impossible to still get enough point to qualify, because there are other criteria apart from the age that matter. As for work visa, what’s your profession? some professions can skip LMIA process - do check out the cic jobs website. Otherwise, we’d recommend to network a lot and establish your differentiating factor - in other words, why are you a better specialist than anyone in Canada. ( not impossible, but also not easy)

Hi Мансур. Unfortunately we do not have any insight into this, we do know that given the CUAET( Ukraine open work permit) visas there’s a big backlog of applications, so ALL visa applications are delayed right now. We would recommend you try calling them to see if you can get any info.

Hey K, not a pro on taxation but my two cents - as a US citizen you’re required to pay tax to the US no matter where you live; However, you may qualify for certain foreign earned income exclusions and/or foreign income tax credits - I recommend you do research in this. As for Canada, if you are considered resident in Canada, you also have to pay tax.

You can learn about the job market, or come if you are invited for an interview by a Canadian employer, but not apply with the intention of not going back home, if you are entering with a tourist visa.
