Stop-Motion Transformation of MakeToys MTCM-03 Quantron. Decent, but a bit too much partsforming. I really like how these combiners came with silicone pads on their feet. I wish more combiners had those. I wonder who at Hasbro decided the color scheme for the “Technobots” should be “mid-70s living room”.

If you want to follow along, I recommend skipping to the speed run and using your , and . keyboard keys to advance by single frames. Every step of the transformation is documented in the frames of the video, in what I consider to be the best sequence. With minimal rubbing and minimal parts-parking.

@peolesdru Oh, I LOVE MMC!! I collect chug, but I have their Tran and G1 Acree. They fit perfectly, have smooth transformations, look good, and pose well. They're my favourite 3rd party company. I'm gonna get more of their IDW figures, but I should focus on dumb things like buying a house and paying bills. Adulting sucks!!

I used to own this set and it was super fun. Still one of the coolest and nicest combined modes of any Transformers. However I do remember it being a major pain to combine them, with lots of partsforming, and when this came out there weren't any handy videos like this to go along with!

I miss those day. Till this day i got 1.Fansproject: superion (addon with hasbro), bruticus(2 limb with hasbro), menasor 2. Maketoys : devastrator,protectorbot, computron. I recall each of them used stand 30cm tall. Rumor state many years ago maketoy will do superion. I still waiting for rumor to be true.

Still not a fan of the knees being the elbows. Just seems like a pain to get the knees together to get it, and even when you do, it looks kind of blah to me. But I guess that's what I get for getting into the 3p stuff when it's more advanced and things like Cang Toys and Toys Easy are some of the top ones on my list. For being an older model, this Computron looks good.

When you eventually get to Maketoys Guardia(Defensor)... just be wary of how you handle their Axle(Maketoy's version of Grooves). That thing is brittle. At least the OS KO version of him doesn't have the same issues. Aside from that, excellent job!

@@peolesdru I just Googled and saw what you were referring to. Despite the toy playabilities I still think it looks awful when on Computrons back, so if I ever pick this up myself then I will definitely keep the crossbow(?) separate from the rest of Computron. But play wise I see potential, I do

Huh. A 3P product that doesn't feel the need to over-complicate things. Just... get in, get out, BOOM! Five robots that make one big robot. Enjoy! lol While we're questioning the ins and outs of the Technobots.... why "Technobots"? Why "Computron"? Are they somehow more technological than the other Transformers? They're ALL computers, so why does this combiner get the distinction of being particularly computery?
