Holy moly, I didn't know I was going to be getting a workout filming this... lol... I really thought it was going to be all smooth and swift like... LOL I don't think I've ever talked that long consecutively in my entire life. :/ LOL Really though. I was almost going to re-film it and faster...but then I thought again and came to the conclusion that as makeup lovers... ya'll would want to see some details... lol I know you guys know I'm a makeup lover... heck if your reading this I bet your a makeup lover too! So I don't suppose I need to explain my addiction? (it used to be stickers when I was a kid) LOL I've been collecting makeup for quite some time... its a hobby, its therapy, its beauty, all that 'n MOREEEE with chips! I see your comment 6 months later & I completely agree. You said it well. Some people collect certain other objects & this is what she loves. Nobody should have to justify. & she gave a good warning about the length of the video & she said it, Makeup Addict, Collector.. etc. I could never do this because I have 2 kids & wouldn't be able to afford so much wonderfulness. Haha. But her collection is indeed, mid blowing. I love it. & she most definitely looks very young, to be 30. 30 is not bad, but she does looks more in her early 20's. I enjoyed this. Rose Camarillo I agree. I love to go through my makeup just to look, gives me joy. I probably apply makeup to back of my hand more than my to my face when I have down time or want to take a break. I've heard her referred to as a makeup librarian, sounds accurate. I've seen her show what may be one of the first Too Faced items that she bought in a Teen's type boutique shop at 17 yo. Interesting. I would go to a makeup museum, even though I've just recently gotten back into makeup now that last kid is college bound.

I see all these hate comments... Like seriously? just do not watch if you do not have anything nice to say. It is apparent this is a huge part of her life. I have several addictions and hobbies that I spend a lot of money on because it is what I love. I do love make up, skin care products, and all beauty products. I certainly do not have this amount but it is quite a bit. It is not an extremely expensive hobby (of course it could be, but she does have a lot of reasonable priced products, and some very expenaive). There is no difference in someone who has a car addiction, a handbag addiction, shoes, clothes, technology, etc. My children are 5, 7, and 11 and between the three of them and their hobbies which all differ, I have spent a fortune. My older too love games and technology, so their smart TVs, Gamer PC, Xbox 1, Ps4, seg ways, go pros, I phones, ipads, mac books etc is well over 30k a piece. They love reading and comics and just their book collection is close to 5k or more. My husband loves shoes, and one of a kind, or customized shoes.. I love a little bit of everything. So if this is what she loves so be it. I have a lot of make up that is expired but I love to keep it to go back on and compare products and reviews and ingredients and packaging. I have a huge hand bag addiction and I have spent at least 30-40k on handbags and that is a lot of money to a lot of people, however it is something I had worked hard for and I started at age 13. I am 27 now. And to a lot that is not much to spend on hand bags. For some it's cars, clothes, fashion, sunglasses, cookware. We only live once and we are only stupid when we spend money we do not have. I am a hard working nurse and a super mom. I do not make all the money in the world but I am good at money management and I am a great bargain shopper. My husband has a great career and we are very fortuante. Do what you love!!! If it is not stuff, than at least experience. Not only do w have several things that we love and collect we also love to experience all the beautiful things in this world. I admire a person who has passion for life and a passion for beautiful products. I am so glad I stumbled across this vid.

I'm a big Tarababyz fan and I have to admit I've been putting off watching this cause I'm so torn lol. I could see how this would be offensive to some people cause it's just so excessive and unnecessary and maybe exemplifies a lot of what's wrong with our materialistic, consumerist society. BUT, as a makeup junkie myself who gets so much joy out of product and just loves to fawn over my own (much smaller) collection, watching this is so satisfying and I don't blame someone who can afford it and loves makeup the way I do for using her resources towards what makes her happy. Each of us is only on this planet for so long, so if you find something that makes you so happy, and it's not hurting anyone, you should pursue it. Whether collecting this much stuff is actually hurting people or hurting our planet is up for debate, but we can certainly agree that no one person's collection is going to make a difference. If we want to change a societal obsession with stuff, we can't do it by berating a single person. Collections like this are not the cause, but the result of an insidious sickness with our society. We are all part of it, we're all responsible. If you want it to change, do something meaningful, cause bitching about it online, singling out someone from the safety of your desktop, is not helping anyone.

Out of all the you tube videos with huge collections i think tara is the most humble! She does not have any sort of bragging or 'look at me' side to her attitude. Others seem to think they are better than most and brag to high heaven. I think for me, having a collection this size would overwhelm me but I still love watching this video and I love how organized it all is!! would people say that to someone who I collects rocks, or insects, or coins, or cars? no because people like to categorize makeup as something you always have to use or agree, and self-esteem etc. but makeup is something you can collect to, thayts why people have a little and alot its all in the mindset. Us girls that have significant amounts are makeup know we aren't going to use it all, its satisfying to look at and to know you have. I love having aliy and I know I have a lot especially for my age but a lot is waaaaayyyyy different for too much, its not possible with makeup its not hurting you.

And I know people think I'm crazy for collecting makeup, and I don't even use some of them I just like the packaging. But you know what? Exactly. I've been a pro MUA for film and TV for over 20 years and I can't tell you how much of it ends up getting trashed because once it goes off, I can't use it on clients. A working makeup artist needs to be portable. It's a true art to narrow down your kit to stuff that you actually use and do your best work with. This is FAR more than I've ever seen in an entire TV makeup department and I've worked on SYTYCD!!! 😱
