Hi Diane, I just wanted to let you know that you have been such a wonderfully inspiring person to me! I found your channel when watching hygge videos. Turns out I was already doing a lot of hygge-ey things but I added more candle lighting to my routine. I have been learning about the Dressing Your Truth system and it has been so helpful as to why I am the way I am! I have been using the 15 minute timer idea from the Flylady system and anti procrastination day for when I’m not looking forward to tackling something and it just makes it seem easier. As a Canadian who has lived in Alabama for the past 16 years I’m always curious about how people live in other countries. I look forward to your videos and thought you should know how many interesting things I’ve learned from you. Keep up the good work!!!

Thank you for your daily posts. I am giving away a brand new food dehydrator. I haven’t used it. 3 years of not even trying is enough. Taking 2 stools to the resale shop. Have found a home for many items, couch, dresser, desk. Today I will start back in on a pile of procrastination, as well as the master closet where I have a system to pack, but have been avoiding it. Will use my timer today.

I had fun decluttering my makeup alongside you! I’m a natural redhead and my coppery red is fading to a dark strawberry blonde with white bits. I use Cinnamon and Ginger Red mascara from Just For Redheads and it’s a game changer.

I loved this video! I keep all my extra makeup in a shoe box, and you're right, switching it out sometimes is like getting new goodies! If you're up for it, I would love to see a video of you cleaning your makeup brushes. I am so afraid to ruin mine, that I just never do it! Also, I'd love to see the feather duster "spa" next time you wash it. I have no idea how to wash that thing! Love from the Pacific Northwest!

Washing makeup brushes/feather duster is easy! 😃 Wet them lightly (warm not hot water), massage in a wee bit of mild shampoo and then rinse. Pat dry and leave to air dry. You can use a hairdryer on the feather duster once it's almost dry to fluff it out 👋

Great video. Please note make up expires. Also I hope at your clothes swap you are sanitizing the make up you take with alcohol. When I take off my clothes I have 2 choices. Laundry basket or I hang and spray it with fabreeze and let it air out for 24 hours . Then the next day when I am undressing I put clothes back in the closet . This eliminates piles of clothes. Love the former owner of Mt Everest of clothes.

As I first saw your outfit, so pretty, it made me think of St. Patrick's Day Cheer☘☘ I wish I could make myself wear make up other than my beloved L'oreal lipstick and lip liner. My only tool is an eyelash curler which I have always used daily. Seems the older I get, make up has left the building🤣. Thanks for the make up motivation and lesson! I've always hated mascara bc of the scary black ((smiles)) My declutter items for yesterday and today: a pr of leggings, a few reusable shopping bags, and some plant seeds. I've typed my DD18 as a 4/2 as well! Cheers!

I loved seeing all your cosmetics. My day got sidetracked. I went to brunch with 2 friends. When we went to the car we discovered that somebody broke two windows, but they weren't interested in the dog toys nor items in my tote bag. So, I stayed out a lot longer to give her moral support. There was broken glass and we had to pick her dog up from the groomers, and she had to deal with insurance. Then I got home and had to do some handwash. I've decluttered at least 27 items since I posted yesterday. What the challenge is doing for me -- I scan the areas and pick up after myself. It is really reinforcing that.

Inspiring video, encouraged me to jump into the DYT videos and think about my makeup. The last few years I’ve been depending on eyeliner mostly but having such small eyes I decided to add some mascara. If I’m going out I almost always put on a bit of lipstick, it brightens my face up. I recently bought some foundation and things that I need to break out and use. So, very interesting seeing this decluttering video! I hope your family illness is better. ❤️

Diane, I was all turned around with DYT. First I was sure I was Type 4, then Type 2. This weekend I spent some time with Carol's videos when I spied one of her guests who looked so much like me that we could be twins. It turns out she is Type 1. I went back to Carol's books, and definitely recognized myself in Type 1. I am trying to brighten up my wardrobe which is full of black from my "Type 4" days and gray from my "Type 2" days. Having fun with it all and look forward to visiting the thrift store to find some light, bright colors!

Lovely sun and snow melting. Flooding and ice jams are a concern. My four habits are strongly implemented. Did the happy donation drop this morning on the way to the gym. since we are seniors, with each trip to the pharmacy, we sort our medications to stay current. We did not keep old medications or empty pill bottles around. Our small supply of toiletries are fresh and in use. Thank you for the affirmation!

I've always thought that black mascara is too dark for women whose hair is lighter than very dark brown. I tried black mascara in high school once, and never again. Even though my lashes are extremely dark, black mascara looks unnatural and harsh.

It's been interesting having a look at all that makeup! Over time, I've used less and less . And now my eyes have become very sensitive, so I've had to stop using anything near them. However, I'm letting my hair go grey so I think I'm going to have to explore makeup again or I'll look old and tired.. It will be an adventure! Waiting for all the grey to come in first.. another few weeks.

Day 30. Time fly’s. This has been a wonderful challenge. My challenge is to develop the habit of intention. When I set out to keep up with my daily routines I have to give myself that gentle nudge to keep going and make it an intention to complete the task. It is too easy for me to be side tracked or allow interruptions to throw me off and then I make up excuses and put things off until ‘tomorrow’.

Good morning Diane, I think the color club nail polish is a holographic one. They tend to look a little different on the nail as compared to the bottle. My make up is all sorted today. I managed to get rid of a few eyeshadows this time round that I can no longer wear from my Mac palettes. My spare stash box didn’t need much work as my daughters have already shopped from it. I think I need a second secret stash. 🙂
