Wow wish i had seen this ages ago! Definitely giving this a try in the morning. Style Me Jenn has helped me figure out how to realize my features and how they fit my face as a whole and how i can change little things. Which is why i searched for your close set eyes video

First video done by an actual close eyed person. Please consider another video using fewer shadow colors if possible? For us lazy folks and color shadows for a fair blue eyed blonde. Great video!

I have small and close set eyes and I noticed some tips you missed. Extra Tips: *Use a Eye curler BEFORE mascara. It really opens the eyes and is a huge diff. *For bottom lash lashes- only put mascara from mid eye (outer part) of your lash. This helps drag the eyes out making them appear less close to each other. *For Top lashes, do top lashes but focus on outter tail of eye. *I know you dont like this (lol) but use a light highlighter for the very inner part of eye. *Use a light neutral skin color for BOTTOM water line. to open the eyes. Everything else you did for the eyeshadow was on point. Since I'm dark, i like to use warm/pinks colors and it actually works. *^-^* Anyways, I figured this may help any new makeup users in some way. xoxo

I've literally never noticed you had close-set eyes before (despite having watched tons of your vids). This must be a testament to your makeup skillz. And your "being a gorgeous angel lady" skillz.

Oh my goodness, I’m Italian and I have never put 2+2 together to realize that my close set eyes and lots of “empty real estate” on my cheeks/profile are due to my heritage and not just an “overly narrow” face. It was so nice to hear your explanations and thank you for giving me a new and more positive to see myself in the mirror :)

Beautiful tips. I really struggle giving balance to the proportions of my face, since my face is long (from eyes to jaw) and my eyes are close-set. I am always trying to open them up and widen them. I am also older, so a softer, more natural look ends up making me look more fresh-faced, rather than like someone trying to HIDE behind makeup.n These tips are gonna help. I am gonna play with this tomorrow when I do my makeup.

The way your eyes are set really suits your face just so you know. You're super pretty even without adding the illusion of wide-set eyes! That having been said, these are great tips, thank you! i try to like my slightly close-set eyes, but I will definitely be using these hacks :p

This video was so helpful. Most videos for close set eyes are with people who dont actually have close set eyes. Your make up has evolved so much over the years, Id love to see an update of how your tricks for this have changed.

Thank you so much for making this video. I am 57, and I follow mostly over 50 videos. The techniques are designed to lift the eye. When I do it, my eyes look small and close together. Your technique can help older gals as well.

My eyes are a bit different shape, more deep set but close like yours. Thank you for this video! I'll try some of your tips! On another note, you have a very classic sort of beauty even without makeup. But the way you applied it brings it all out! I love that. 💜

I like that you word it as that it's not about good or bad, it's about the look that you want. I also have close set, smaller eyes, they don't translate to photos well. It's a common thing that models have especially wide set eyes because for some reason converting 3 dimensional space to 2 dimensions throws off our sense of special proportions a bit, so wide set eyes look best to most people, normal set eyes look too close, and close set eyes look really too close. That doesn't mean any of those are bad, it's just a reality. I learned that while studying art: people tend to put eyes too far apart because the 3D to 2D translation causes us to overestimate the space between eyes.

Wow I love this video because its actually done by someone with smaller close set eyes...I swear I have the same face shape and eyes as you except my eyes are green lol..I wish they were brown tho lol..but I always struggled with eyeshadow cause I would follow everyone's tutorials and could never get my eyeshadow to look right at all..and even tho there are tutorials for small close set eyes the people who are doing them dont have small eyes so it really doesn't help as much as someone who does..I always thought i was doing it wrong but that wasn't the case it just doesn't work for people with our type of eyes...but this video helped me and It made me be able to relate to someone finally lol!!

Do you have any tips for the rest of your makeup routine to also open up the eyes? For instance, do you recommend putting highlighter on the traditional spots (center of forehead, nose, cheek bones, chin), or does bringing attention to these spots close the eyes in more?

This was really good you look pretty. Just my opinion I think 🤔 a bit thinner of the brows would open up your eyes. I know thick brows are in but when I thicken my brows my eyes disappear I keep them medium.

I don't quite understand where they were coming from with the 'Italian close-set eyes' comment? In itself, it doesn't even make any sense because it's not a common trait of Italian people, not even Southern Italians....

Hmm, I actually don’t think you have close set eyes, I think you just have a wide face, which caused there to be a lot of space around your eyes. Nonetheless, I have close set eyes and it’s my biggest insecurity so I appreciate this video immensely!!!
