Yeah, I was having hardcore flashbacks to my theater days. This is definitely the DCC equivalent of stage makeup (stadium makeup?) If you tone it down though, there's some really good tips in here for everyday makeup too!

I'm a belly dancer, and when I perform I do a mixture of arabic style make up and drag makeup. This is nothing compared to how much I wear when I perform.

She's beautiful either way but as a performer we use make up to make sure everyone sees us. With lighting and distance, we can look pretty washed out but with make up, we can counteract that light.

Dancers, cheerleaders, etc. NEED to pack on the makeup because the bright lights in stage wash you out. You need your stage makeup, or hooker makeup as my mom likes to call it, to be as bright as your uniform/costume in order to stand out to the audience and judges

Oh my gosh I didn’t know you can use coconut oil for primer! It makes my foundation look so good holy moly! I used to try every primer out there and my makeup looked so Cakey! But if you have dry skin this hack can save your life❤️❤️ thank you kat🥺

What fool told her she needs to contour her nose? It's perfect as it is. I know the DCC look is for those finished brows, but hers are so pretty naturally - need almost nothing done to them. The tips about coconut oil and spraying brushes with water were helpful. Great video,

@@tylahoc9271 so much make up as Nikki wouldn't even work for the dcc because the camera's, all the lighting and the big jumbotron would disturb the complexion and would make the girls very pale or orange in their face. Plus 3+ hours of dancing would ruin the make up anyways 😆

Mainly cause this is basically the same as stage makeup - them lights are HARSH. I have blonde brows and I always have to put on brow mascara on stage and it looks horrendous in the mirror but good on stage - if I didn't I'd look like I had no brows!!

Stadium lights are super harsh they have to wear this much so they're not washed out. That's pretty much most performers.
