Missing Footage / Further “Evidence" :
Evidence in the Guesthouse
Investigators noted a bottle of clear liquid, assumed to be water, present in the master bedroom of the guesthouse where Adam Shacknai stayed on the night of July 12th. The bottle was not tested for DNA evidence, drawing criticism from the Zahaus and their experts.Evidence technicians at the scene of Rebecca’s death found a pair of white, pink, and purple women’s underwear in a wastebasket in the guesthouse where Adam Shacknai was staying. The Zahaus and others critical of SDSO say that the underwear should have been tested for DNA and evidence of assault.
Fingerprints & DNA
Forensic analyst Lisa DeMeo testified that she reviewed SDSO’s crime scene photos, fingerprints lifted from the scene, the autopsy report, and DNA analyses. She also looked at two knives that had been found in the mansion guest bedroom.
DeMeo testified that Adam’s fingerprints and DNA were not found on any of the surfaces tested by police investigators. There was also no Fingerprints found on the paint brushes, they had nothing found on them from either sides. It was believe that they were wiped down. The large Knife was tested and Rebeccas finger prints were found but only on the blade. It was in a weird spot as well, she tried to figure out how her fingers would’ve been on this blade and concluded it fit perfectly as if the blade was behind Rebeccas back, her fingers on the blade as if she was trying to cut through the rope. There were no prints on the handle of the knife.
Smaller knife, her blood DNA was found on the knife but there was no fingerprints found on the blood. The blood was found on the entire bottom of the knife and caked up in the grooves. There was no blood found on Rebeccas hands or any source of blood on Rebecca except for her period/menstrual cycle. The knife had to be inserted or rubbed against her vaginal area. She was assaulted . The police had tested the knife but nobody did anything with that piece of evidence.
Handwriting Evidence
The Zahaus’ legal team hired handwriting expert Michael Wakshull, who testified that he compared of several letters of the painted message with known handwriting samples/court documents of both Rebecca and Adam. The witness testified that based upon his examination, he believed that it was more likely that Adam had written the text than Rebecca. The biggest factor was the letter M. When Adam used the letter M the M was long, extended towards the end , it swooshed down. The M on the wall also swooshed down. The writing on the wall leaned to the left, Rebeccas writing leaned to the right and guess who’s writing leaned to the left, Adam . Also, he stated that when writing on a wall we are most likely to write at shoulder level, the writing if it was at shoulder level would come from someone who was 5’11 , Rebecca was 5’2 and Adam was 5’10
Ugh sorry that happened! I was so bummed to see the MAIN CHUNK of evidence to further prove something happened to Rebecca was missing.Thank you for your patience with me and my small errors.

The fact that this man still roams the streets freely, completely haunts me. The Sherriff Department was completely unreliable, unprofessional, and inhumane. They could have covered poor Rebecca's body from the heat but they didn't because they knew it would interfere with the investigation. They did this to save THEIR butts. But, the saying on the wall probably means that Rebecca was able to save Max, so can you save Rebecca? That's what I decoded from it. Thank you for reading my comment and have a wonderful rest of your day/night!

Very obvious police were paid off. Many many clues. One is the neighbor hearing screaming and they told neighbor, I think you are wrong. Not investigating seriously. They did not want to solve the case. In my country this happens all the time when wealthy people are involved. If someone is suicidal they are not going to tie their feel. What is the point? Adam was furious at her for allowing his nephew to die. He saw her as a minority and non human. He did not say who she was on phone call, did not cover her body, left body outside. Had a fetish for her, probably bound her to torture her first then hang her. Much investigation could have taken place but wasn't. Go to Adam's job and see if those kind of knots are used for tug boats. Match Adam's shoes with boot print.

I agree that 'motive' doesn't really fit. Rather it was the end result of a household that was, as Jonah admits now, loaded with tension and bitter arguments. Jonah says they were about to split up. The Zahaus say Rebecca was so unhappy she was getting sick, losing weight on an already too thin frame, unable to sleep, crying frequently. She wrote in her diary that Jonah's kids and wives for a real sore spot for Rebecca. She deeply resented Jonah's daughter, despised her. Rebecca should have left long before the tragedy and Jonah, I am sure, wlll forever regret leaving his child alone with a girlfriend who was extremely frustrated and depressed already. NEVER leave kids alone with just anyone. SO MANY children perish at the hands of non biological 'parents,' boyfriends/girlfriends, spouses. Rebecca was halfway out the door. If she had only left two people would still be alive. That I am sure of. RIP Rebecca and Max.

@@flowersarecalling What about Xena? Xena was there. Could have been involved, and Rebecca had to cover it up. It would explain why she'd possibly lie (if it was a lie) that Max said "Ocean" before falling unconscious. In any case, Rebecca hadn't been watching and she knew that. If Xena even accidentally caused the fall, it'd still make Rebecca look bad. And she wouldn't want police questioning Xena or Xena to face prosecution. Did Max really say "Ocean"? Or did Rebecca lie to shift suspicion away from her and Xena? Obviously a dog didn't do it deliberately; it was an accident. Dogs can't be charged. Very convenient scapegoat. Just a possibility. Also it might explain why Xena wouldn't answer questions immediately and those long silences on the 911 call. All just another theory.

The note to me sounds like it refers first to Max-“She saved him”-which sounds quite sarcastic and even hateful as Max died and was not saved. The second part -“can you save her?” (I feel like I messed that up a little)-is taunting anyone who finds her as she can’t be saved. So it ultimately sounds vengeful. She failed to save him so in return I’ll make her not able to be saved. Maybe?

This has happened many times in all kinds of places, and I’m certain that if we all became more aware of our surroundings and looked for these things, we’d all see them at some point. Unless you've been on an ems scene or done cpr on someone you don't know how fast things can change. I'm not ems but I worked at a homeless shelter for 3 years and have had too many incidents where someone seemed alright when we called 911 and then we got news that they died. @@marissa5304 I doubt a serial killer would go back to the same house twice in the same week, that just seems really unlikely. I think that writing was a red herring. I also think that what happened to Max was an accident, and the brother raged out on Rebecca, taking out his aggression and sexual fantasies on her. He was prolly really jealous of his rich brother and his perfect little life. I can see it now, it seems pretty obvious that if that man wasn't so well connected to money that he would've been charged with her murder, but the cops treated the case with kid gloves so as not to step on anyone's toes. Honestly really sad.

There’s an actual psychological reason as to why this happens to often. It’s called diffusion of responsibility, and it’s basically as it’s called. Instead of taking responsibility for something you see or hear and calling for help, you assume that someone else is going to and then everyone gets this same mentally so no one ends up helping. There’s any crime cases of people hearing someone call for help and do nothing because they assume someone else will help. It’s not them being selfish, it’s just how many many people respond unfortunately. I’m currently studying for a degree in psychology and this is been one of the most interesting things I’ve learnt and as caused me to take action for when I see something happening or someone needing help, I didn’t realise just how much I too handing over responsibility to strangers

My theory is that the little boy's fall was accidental. It sounds like he was doing some daredevil type thing and fell. Rebecca was afraid that she would be blamed for neglecting him while he was in her care. Rebecca had gotten in the shower but then got out because either she was finished or Adam came up there to confront her. Maybe they got into an argument and Adam hit her in the head, knocking her out. He ties her up and gags her with the already tied ropes. Rebecca may have started coming out of it and a struggle began. Then he walks her over to the balcony (hence her screams and his boot print) and then he throws her over. Crazy!

Checyn Hadi you're right, the investigators Dina hired said "oh it was clearly foul play." BUT this most likely happened after Rebecca's death. She died, what, two days after whatever happened to Max happened? She died before he did. Private investigators can be paid off, and in this case probably were, to make Rebecca's death less sympathetic. I'm not saying his mom was involved in Rebecca's death, she wasn't most likely, but it got a lot of media attention and could have... detracted, for lack of a better word, from police investigation into Max's death, in her opinion. Also, while they did say he couldn't have fallen over the railing while on the ground, his scooter caused damage ON the railing, according to police reports (and pictures, because clearly these police are not infallible.) It's a lot easier to fall off something you're trying to climb onto than it is to fall over the side of that same thing. (And 16 year old me had the sprained ankle from a fence at my grandpa's to prove it.)

@@realtoastt9076 Very obvious police were paid off.
