I still use the triangle shape with a light weight concealer because I have dark circles and the shape is more flattering on my rounder face

finally somebody i can relate to. i have deep dark circles. after corrector if i use the dot technique it just highlights the dark Circle and corrector. people with barely noticable under eyes can get away with this technique

I also use the triangle shape with concealers to hide my deep dark circles,but i prefer using my concealer before foundation and applying the foundation afterwards neutralizes it so well!!!

The best thing I've done as far as learning where to put which products is to just experiment and play with it. Trends are a fine place to start, but I think the best techniques will vary from person to person and you won't know what you like best until you try it. This one here wouldn't work for me personally bc I don't like concealing too close under my eye, and it completely misses where my dark circles are the darkest. The best part about makeup is there are no rules and you shouldn't feel ashamed of preferring one way of doing something over the other.

Unfortunately, heavy makeup photographs well and looks better on camera... the lighting washes away all colors and highlights all your skin concerns... in fact, editorial makeup has different requirements than normal everyday makeup. Social media has helped in diffusing the message that everyday makeup is heavy makeup, while it;s not like that.

Quality over quantity! I think the reason the triangle concealer was more effective back then because we’d use hella contour & it was like easier to blend when so much product was laid out like that imo. Contouring and highlighting was THE HYPE back then. Everyone wanted to practice their contouring and highlighting lol. That and eyebrows were literally super excessive back then. 😂😂

I have dark circles and quite deep hallows but I don’t wear so much concealer. The key is color correction and highlight the wright spots with less product possible.

Color corrector :peach covers blue/purple coloration. Green covers redness .

@@kaycemorris9914 Corrector helps with the discoloration, but not the hollows. Short of an eye lift, I’m not sure if there are products on the market that help with both issues (?)

I did not do this ever... I ALWAYS applied it the 2nd way. I don't always follow trends. I apply ams practice and apply the way Ithink looks good on my face. Plus.. I don't like to waste anything.. especially make-up. I love this concealer though

It's just awful. Concealer is meant to hide dark circles and blemishes. These days it's used as another thick layer on top of foundation. Even young teenagers with perfect skin are covering themselves in gunk😮

Concealer is also meant to add light to the face so the face isn't flat.. sometimes people simply want to just have fun with makeup without dictation..makeup is self expression and an art form whether someone "needs" it or not its their prerogative.. I'm 34 and I love a full face I have no bags or dark circles but I'm going to do whatever my heart desires and I tell my clients choose the makeup style that you're comfortable with.. you don't have to stick to basic or light makeup looks only when you're young unless you want to it all washes off anyway so why not have fun😊

Theres a third way, less concealer on the second side avoiding the part of the eye with all the wrinkles. It makes them more obvious, the less product is placed there, the better

I never bring the concealer under my entire eye area as it closes the eye. I only apply it in the inner corner and a tiny bit at the outer edge to create a more lifted look. I use probably one fifth of what you do on your right side. Most women use way too much concealer.

I put 2 dots under each eye, inner and outer under eye area. Put powder on. And the eye makeup stays the whole day.

I Feel a concealer mistake for mature skin is applying concealer to the outside corners of the eyes. For mature skin it will crease like crazy and when you add powder it makes it 100 times worse. You apply makeup to your face type. One method doesn’t work for everyone. I personally thought the v shape applying concealer was crazy now everyone thinks you apply a swipe under the eye than the corner. People who don’t even need concealer use it. It’s crazy. Everyone should apply make to their face type, how it looks on them and only if you need it. Less is more. Makeup you can wear in your 20s you can’t wear in your 30s and so on. Concealer was only used if you had dark circles under your eyes now, people wear it as just a part of their makeup routine. Some people who don’t have dark circles under their eyes wear it because KZbinr have pushed it. which I think is crazy. it’s a waste of product and it only enriches the cosmetic companies.. Also if you have good brows you don’t need to use a brow pencil. I was caught up with the makeup frenzy years ago because I didn’t know much about makeup and how to apply it I bought it like crazy. I’ve become a makeup artist and know it front to back now and my eyes are open. Enhance what you love about yourself and embrace it. If you don’t need to wear, it, don’t wear it. be minimal and let your beauty shine through.😊

I think makeup is different for different face shapes anyone with long big forgead should not put any concealer going up the temple like me it makes it stand out more makeup is like a trend and just bc it looks good one one person don’t mean it dose on eveyone same with shades well trends are the same to and ppl don’t understand it I think less is always more but u also have to contour and conceal to fit ur face shape

This is all well and good, But, if you have discoloration you need to cover the whole bag otherwise you have a dark gap of skin in between. You already had that area precovered with make up...

I’ve never worn concealer and I am not planning on ever using it. My skin is what it is. I am not obsessed with trying to make my skin look flawless or perfect in any way. I never wore any makeup other than lipstick and mascara till I was 40. Now at 63 I wear a bit more but I don’t like the look of so much makeup. I’ve always been very active and athletic. I’d rather keep myself fit and healthy than feel the need to have flawless makeup on.
