Nice, simple build. I like the design and ability to fold. Sometimes you need a light duty set and don't need them built to hold a thousand pounds. I've got to say at the beginning of the video... please don't cut long stock with a miter gauge up against the fence like that. It is very dangerous and easy to twist, causing a kickback... especially with you standing directly behind the piece being cut. You moved the fence over at 1:36, which was good. Use a starter spacer.

This is the simplest folding Sawhorse design that I have found on KZbin. The strength of the hinges seems to be extremely important. I will be making a set of these but will probably cut dados to mount the two leg crossbar supports so they will have some extra lateral stability. And, I may find a more secure way to crimp the cable ferrules, as well. I do love the idea of using cables to prevent splaying of the legs. But irregardless of that, this is a great design. Thanks for sharing.

The 1x2 brace just under the top of the uppermost cross piece, will pinch the daylights out of your fingers, when the hinged parts move. Been there, done that.!!!

Once I tried doing what he does which is grabbing the small cut piece, the blad took it and grabbed my index finger with it. Luckily it just took my nail

An excellent idea but I have a few comments. First, I would never cut the leg length if using a table saw with out a stop block clamped to the fence to reduce the chance of the work piece binding at the blade. Third, I would use a push handle to brush the cutoff piece away from the blade, may save a finger .Fourth , I would use a mitre saw for most if not all of the angle cuts or a sled if using the table saw. I would use a T-strap hinge to reduce the stress at the pivoting joint when opening the sawhorse. I like the use of swageing on the wire ends. Good luck and thanks for the idea.

Jeez, I would love to use all that equipment also, but all I have is a hand held circular saw, wish me luck!!! (though, I can assure you I won't be ripping any board--haha). Second, I don't have the equipment in the video, but I've watched enough video's to know his safety procedures are on the lax side as you mentioned....when he grabbed that scrap (aka cutoff piece), I gasped!!!

Not bad, but two things: This design needs something to keep the legs apart when in use. Last thing you want is a shift in load which could cause the sawhorse to fold on you. The surface area of the top is a bit small. I prefer a beefier build, like kzbin.info/www/bejne/lWfXZaOboZKbgdk
