I think the polystyrene is too soft to hold the pins hey, but its a wise idea if you dont have a wooden block though 😊. Secondly, i suggest that you tell us the exact measurements of making the stiffner. You are eye-balling because you know already how to do it, but we also would like to learn how to make it please mam.

Very true. Its a great way to start your Millinery business on a budget until you are able to purchase wooden blocks.

The stiffner is one part PVA glue to 2-3 parts water. As you keep working, you will find a consistency that works for you. I hope I answered your question.

It was just water in the spray bottle. Just to soften the sinamy for moulding. You can also use steam from your steam iron or from your face steamer for this process. The essence is to make the sinamy soft enough to work with it.
