Excellent! I made one, and it worked! I used a D ring and a small (line 20) snap instead of a rivet. I'm going to get some of those cool rings with the threaded post, though.

What is the math to figure out how long to cut the piece for a specific size wrist?

Hi, first i tried different hole sizes and numbers , then measure and decided 9 holes fit perfect, then i left distance at the end according the wrist size that i want, half cm more 1 cm more. also when it finishes, it is possible to make it wet and pull from the sides to make longer if necessary, it works well too. Ofcourse it depends on the size of the material you use for connection.

Do you find much measurement loss of material from the knots? For example if I need 17 cm for wrist do I double the length of leather (34) and will there be any loss of cm?

@@dhduncan yes it will be loss, you can cut the leather longer, then start to make holes and try, if no make one more hole, in the video i wrote the sizes, i suggest you to follow them.

Why didn't you put the measurements in SAE also? Nobody uses centimeters anymore.

Who does not use metric system? only few countries use SAE, i think you may start use centimeters too:) I never use SAE in my life same as the 94% of the world population. www.quora.com/What-percent-of-the-world-uses-the-metric-system

Hiii. love your video, how long is the strip? Is that around 50cm or something?

Seriously? The whole world uses centimeters. But not to be snarky, I honestly find it easier to measure in millimeters for smaller items. Finding the center of 12 mm is easier than finding the center of 5/16" when you don't have a ruler scaled in 32nds of an inch. I do still use inches for longer measurements, though.

@@raphaelramos3678 I also would like to know how long to cut strips based on circumference of the wrist. Doesn’t look like we’re going to ever get the answer to that.

@@dhduncan I think the way to figure it out is to start with triple (or maybe even quadruple) the wrist size (adding an inch to the actual wrist size for fit) to have enough to double it over, allow for loss of length from the technique, and have enough at the end for the closure. Then see how much strap is left over and have a way to gauge for the next one. Sure, I expect there to be waste the first time, but so what...
