I used to be a manger at chipotle and I will agree the food on the line is already pre made but we spent hours prepping every single menu item by hand, even shredding 50lb blocks of cheese at 6am. @@sumanyumehrotra4025 sauteing is cooking with a small amount of oil or fat over high heat in a thin, or shallow I should say, pan and a sauté chef is responsible for cooking meats and stuff this way, as well as preparing sauces and gravies that will go with other dishes. It’s a super important role in the kitchen and basically - they’re saying that he’s a good sauté chef because he doesn’t turn off the stove after taking the pan off because he’s about to throw something over the heat again soon after.

He's gone corporate. We need to demand better - he's pandering to the lowest common denominator now. I feel like the goal of these types of series, is to encourage people to cook more at home instead of ordering. The problem is people are inherently lazy, so they will always choose a delivery of food, even if it is mediocre at best, instead of cooking for themselves. Even if it saves money, time is something that not everyone has an abundance of, so while you are waiting for someone else to deliver your mediocre pre-cooked food from a chain restaurant, you can use that time to do something else instead of outright cooking.

The point people are trying to make is that it would take any of us longer to prepare the meal if we don't have anything pre-measured. I think Josh needs the challenge taken up a notch. No prep. He has to take everything out of the fridge/cupboard, open it up and measure. It would simulate a realistic challenge for the lay person, and it might make these challenges more challenging. And it might be better content for the channel. Win win.

I don't want to be "that guy", but I'm not really excited for this merch. I hope that people love and buy the shit out of it, but it really doesn't scream Joshua Weissman. Nobody is gonna stop me and ask me about my shirt here. I wanna wear merch that gets people to ask me where it's from and why. Maybe like a Papa Kiss shirt with your face and a bowl of noodles, or a loaf of bread? Or a bowl of dough being decimated by a fist? Or a but faster shirt with you running at mach speeds. Something where I can show my love for you and draw the eye and make people ask me about whatever I'm wearing. Not for me....well a little for me....but also I can say "Oh you've never heard of Joshua Weissman? I love him!" and explain why I love watching you. Your modeling team is top notch tho lol.
