The build limit is probably more of a limit of the Switch than Nintendo deciding an arbitrary number. Main reason I think so is because it's higher than most people would run into just trying to make the kinds of simple machines Nintendo expects, anyways. (Except the bridge-building shrine, anyways.)

honestly you do a great job of explaining binary simply
@marinadavies1917 Жыл бұрын
one of the things i think is most interesting about binary (and for that matter all bases even tho its not super self evident) is the number of digits works just like in base ten. In base ten each new digit occurs when we reach a new power of ten, one is 10^0, ten is 10^1, one hundred is 10^2 etc etc (also interesting is that the number of digits is equal to n+1 where n is the exponent on ten). Similarly this is true of base two except each new digit occurs ever power of two (which makes learning them very important in computer science), so one is 1 is 2^0, two is 10 is 2^1, four is 100 is 2^2, eight is 1000 is 2^3, etc etc. The pattern of the number of digits being equal to the exponent plus one is still here too!

Even if it's just for insane, overcomplicated, and impractical builds that don't have any other game application, I wish that Nintendo would add some kind of Free Building mode to this game. It would have to be separate entirely from the actual open world so that the builds would be able to use more memory, of course. But the amount of imagination this game has inspired already makes me want to see what it would be like if it was unchained from the 20 attachment limit. Though I do think there is something to be said for the creativity that limits such as this foster, and hats off to you for making a full adder within these constraints.
