This is really cool. I like that you teach stuff like flexibility and balance. Most channels or companies would probably not be transparent and only want to talk about bigger productions. This is practical and it helps a lot :)

how do you get such good quality shots with the osmo?
@WilliamTM8 жыл бұрын
Probably because they're using either the DJI X5 or X5R camera for the Osmo and the Inspire, rather than the normal DJI X3 camera. The X3 is what comes on the base model Osmo, and it's similar to a GoPro quality camera, but the X5 is a pro-grade camera similar to the Panasonic GH4 or Sony a7S in quality. However, it's significantly more expensive - about 3x the price of the Osmo+X3 for just the X5 alone.
@HaloUnion8 жыл бұрын
Well that explains it :/ The X3 gets pretty decent quality if there's enough light. Otherwise it gets absurdly noisy. Or at least that's been my experience with it.

Hey Ryan! I have a question for you guys: So I have this channel where I stand in front of a green screen and talk. :) And I need some help because I recently switched to Premiere and After Effects. Should I key out the green screen in After Effects and then move it over to Premier and do all the cuts and color grading? Or is there another order that makes it easier? Thanks!
@filmriot8 жыл бұрын
We cut our footage together and then key that. If you key it all it will take forever.
@glud8008 жыл бұрын
+Film Riot I'm sorry I don't understand that. Why would keying just one clip take longer than keying many short clips?
@TheNateLefever8 жыл бұрын
Say it takes you 10 minutes of recording to get all your lines right, then you cut it down for a 2 minute video. If you key after you cut down, you're only be rendering what you'll be using instead of rendering all of it. Things like this make it so you have more time to put into the rest of the video.
@glud8008 жыл бұрын
+Nathan Lefever thank you so much for explaining man! But since it's cut down to many short little clips, I would have to key out several clips instead of just one big clip? Or if I move it to After Effects does it make it just one clip?
@TheNateLefever8 жыл бұрын
If you're locked on your edit of what you need to key, you can select all those clips and replace them with an After Effects composition, then do your key on one clip, then copy and paste to all the other clips. You can key in Premiere as well, just take your clips in a sequence and nest them, then do your effect once.

Ryan, I notice you're using the Zenmuse X5 on the Osmo. Do you think that the device would be as useful and successful if you used the X3 that it comes with? There's quite a price gap between the two.
