Nice bed. Living in South Africa I'm unfamiliar with radiators but I take it they don't get hot enough that having wood against them is a problem.

Radiators usually have a thermostat on the side , so you can adjust the level of the heat required.

I've got the temperature in my radiator loop set to 65c so the radiators get hot, but not too bad

Electric radiators have the possibility to go too hot if the thermostat is broken and the safety mechanism is not working, but all oil and water radiators will be fine.

I’d do so many things differently if I were to build it again it’d be completely different. Hopefully I’ll get to build another one soon! I’d use proper acoustic insulation if I were to do it again
