Making A Cedar Bookcase: Tapered Sliding Dovetail Joint

As part of Terry making a Cedar bookcase this video shows making the beautiful Tapered Sliding Dovetail Joint. It is considered a difficult joint to make but if you follow a few basic steps and have the right tools this joint can be made efficiently and to a high standard. It is the perfect joint for strength in a large book case and can be used in many other applications in carcass work. If you do a few practice runs with this joint you will have the confidence to include it in your cabinets.

Hi Terry, great video and a really nice job. If I can make a suggestion, you could put links in the description for lazy buggers like me to the tools you use in your web store.
