Can that Visio drawing be used in a Powerpoint presentation?
@DMExplains

Certainly. The simplest way to implement this is to save the Visio file as an image, such as .tif or .png. This is done by using File->Save As-> and selecting one of the image formats from the drop down box. Note one trick: you should make sure no item or set of items is selected when you save as an image, as this may only save your selected item. Best way to avoid this is to hit escape before starting the process of saving.

Do you have to have visio professional to do this? Or can I do this with the normal one?

I used the normal version (although this was a few years ago and I'm not sure if Visio has been updated).

Honestly, the easiest way is to construct it yourself using a square turned 45 degrees and text boxes with +/-

Is there any way by which we can add equations in Visio? We can’t write fractions, subscript, and etc. Even the font isn’t as same the one used in MS word’s equation editor.

the only way I've done this historically is writing up the equations in Latex or MS Word and then taken a screenshot and dropped it in Visio.

DMExplains Thank you for reply. I am working on an educational book. I am trying to create the book same as they are created professionally. I have seen in many books for eg. “Fundamentals of electrical circuits by Sadiku” has diagrams in svg format even the text on diagrams are real texts not screenshot. I will have to write around 140-150 pages. Taking screenshots of equations and then pasting it in the VISIO will be a time consuming and there position will be different in every diagram as we are manually positioning the screenshots. I want to create all the circuit diagrams consistently. Strange Visio doesn’t have the same equation editor as ms word. Thanks I would like have your thoughts on it.

@@alphasatari If you want the best option, try Circuitikz package in Latex. I have actually switched to this for writing exams and homework assignments instead of Visio. Visio has consistency issues. The sadiku book is especially annoying because in earlier editions, the font in figures matched the text, but not in the 6th edition. Here's a link to a helpful manual for circuitikz: mirrors.ibiblio.org/CTAN/graphics/pgf/contrib/circuitikz/doc/circuitikzmanual.pdf Maybe I need to make a tutorial video on this (I'll add it to the queue)

@@DMExplains I have the fourth edition of Sadiku. I actually want the fonts to match the equations. Visio has a lot of issues. You cannot even change the default values. Every time I have to make changes if I am creating a new diagram. We can not create a new theme. I tried many software but the best option I could find is Visio because of the integration of it with the MS Word as it allows us to make changes directly in the MS Word even after we are done with the circuit diagram. I figured out a way but it is time-consuming. I will try Circuitikz. Thank you.

@@alphasatari it would mean moving everything to latex, but it would probably be worth it for consistency

I probably wouldn’t try it: the lines can be hard to deal with. Maybe plot them on python or MATLAB is how I would do it personally.

there's free stencils for that , just write visio educational shapes , or just search for it in the shapes bar in visio

I haven’t tried in Visio, but I have used kiCAD to make a pcb and that has a 3d viewer in it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iaGsaHRurcaFgNk
