What great ideas! My clapper is a 2”x4” also but it won’t be after today. It will be beautiful. I also love the box, my seam ripper is always near me but it rolls off the table, but not after today. Thank you so much

You can take a pin and scratch the paper side of the Heat N Bond, it will be easy to remove.

What great ideas! What do use the "clapper"? I never saw one of those before. Love how you glued the fabric down. Thanks so much. ❤

Thank you. A lot of quilters use them after they press their seams. They set this on it and somehow it absorbs the heat or something and makes everything flatter and the seams stay longer. It works for me!

Whoever told you that A4 paper is 8.5" x 14" was mistaken; that's legal sized. A4 is 8.3" x 11.7", so slightly narrower and slightly taller than letter paper. And shame on whoever said nasty things to you for not knowing something, especially if it was the person who gave you incorrect information since they didn't know, either. The way you made the template was very clever; I'd have mucked about with a ruler & driven myself crazy trying to figure out what size to make the cut-outs for the corners. When you got to the bit where you talked about putting the fabric on your scanner to print it on paper, I had to pause the video and tell my partner about it (he blinked a couple times & said, "That's genius!"). What a great way to decorate a small item without cutting up your pretty (and possibly expensive) fabrics! I must admit, when you said at the beginning that this wasn't going to be a sewing project I almost clicked off, but I'm so glad I watched the whole thing. Those turned out so cute, and who doesn't want a nice matched set of tools? This video is now saved to my "crafts I might actually try someday" playlist :-) (May I share a tip with you, since you shared such good ones with us? Mr O & I buy school glue literally by the gallon - we go through tons of it during haunt season - and when a project calls for matte Mod Podge we just mix the school glue with some water until it's the consistency we need. Much less expensive and works just as well for most projects.)

Thank you for the tip. I accidentally said A4 paper instead of legal. I get mixed up sometimes. My apologies.

What's a clapper used for? I like it.

A clapper is a wooden device that you use when pressing to make your seams flatter and hold the shape. A lot of quilters use them, but I use them when I’m doing some of my seems in my clothes
