I love making my own wooden lures, especially big jointed swimbaits; I use scrap wood but it works well. Really a rush to catch a fish on your own handmade lure.

Tragically Ronald got his right arm caught up in the drive center and ripped his hand completely off by reaching over and behind the piece he was working on. Thankfully he turned himself a new arm on a note pad and used that data to perfectly replicated his missing limb. DO NOT BE LIKE RONALD. DO NOT REACH OVER THE LATHE. DO NOT PUT ANYTHING UP TO THE LATHE WHILE IT IS IN MOTION OTHER THAN YOUR TOOLS. IT WILL RIP YOU APART SO FAST YOU WONT EVEN KNOW WHAT HAPPENED.

Well said I could t believe the stupidity and lack of safety practiced in this video , very dumb , it’s only when a shirt or hand cops the full force of it will a person realise an accident could of been avoided and on video as well , people don’t ever stick hands or your body close to spinning machinery if you value your body parts , wood turning is fun but do it with safety, machines don’t discriminate who they will tear apart given the chance if your to close and contact that’s a fact.
