I find it really cool that Vi is so dominant in this scene on every level. Jayce is thrown off verbally and feels physically intimated by her (ironic for a man his size, but fitting because she could for sure kick his ass even without the gauntlets), she’s comfortable turning her back to him, he’s constantly facing her, he’s tensed up. It really adds to that part of his character that he isn’t really that domineering of a person, he’s easily influenced by other people and quick to trust. He’s known of Vi for all of 5 minutes until he decides to (literally) arm her with super-weapons and go fight crime with her and he doesn’t even like her that much. You know he’s a good listener in conversation and new ideas do not have to pay much rent to enter his head. This pliability in his character isn’t just fitting given his background, but it makes him that much more interesting of a character because he’s constantly being challenged and growing.

Yeah Arcane’s best and worst quality is its breakneck pace. We rarely get a chance to just sit with the characters and have them bounce off each other without the need for immediate plot progression.

Iunno the bigger fuckup(and for me, only fuckup in the entirety of Arcane) she did was namedropping Jinx in the council. Even Caitlyn stared at her with how much of a bad move it was. Without that, council would just want anyone to pay Piltover's Lump of Flesh. Easy to feed random nameless derps to them instead of Jinx.

@@tyranidswarmlord9722 Caitlyn looked at Vi because Vi was talking not for any other reason. Caitlyn didn't tell them about Jinx out of respect for Vi. Not giving Jayce a name would had effected the girls' credibility and giving them a random name would confuse Silco later since he wouldn't have this person so how can you give the council someone you don't have? Silco would have to find a person willing to go with Jayce, and if he's going to do that he might as well find a random girl, dye her hair, and give her extensions since the only people who seen Jinx were Vi and Caitlyn. Vi and Caitlyn left the court room and went there separate ways so they wouldn't know about any of this. In the end this would had still happened because Vi telling them who Jinx is isn't what messed everything up Caitlyn telling them what Silco wanted did as soon as she did they started having a discussion on negotiating with him no one cares about Jinx.

Vi: * rants about being dragged away to prison * Me: STOP BREAKING THE LAW YOU IDIOT Seriously, it ticks me off that in spite of all that talk about Piltover living off Zaun, we never see any workers in Zaun. No hard labor workers, no divers who have to go to the deepest and most toxic waters (from Viktor's lore), no people who slave away at the factories, get sick but don't receive anyting for their work AND these very people have no defenses against crime lords and local gangs. We only see petty criminals and organized gangs who don't even try to build anything, but whine about how good everybody else have it. I know that Vi got thrown to prison due to a corrupt law enforcer, but, frankly speaking, Vi and her friends would've ended up in prison for theft it would've been entirely their fault because Jayce almost comitted suicide because of his life's work being taken away from him. And they still would have blamed the unfair system. That's really annoying.

Because in arcane they decided to really push the opressor/opressed theme of the piltover/zaun story, in the game lore they show that there are actually good working people in zaun, (like Ekko's parents), but Arcane did away with that part of zaun ( and ekko's parents)

Powder was the one that almost destroyed everything Vi was the one that told them to leave a part of Jayce's research alone. Stealing is one way they make money even Vander did/does it. They would had never got caught the only way they would get arrested is if Powder jinxed them like she normally does. The system is corrupt because the legal system cares more about the people on the topside than the people below. Vi's upset because she was taken to jail without a given reason with the idea of Powder dying going through her mind and you can't forget she was 14 maybe 16 when she went in there so she spent 5 years in there maybe more. She could be arrested here for trespassing but she only went there to talk to him so it would seem over the top to arrest her before they even had the conversation.
