I ran the shirt color by my official color expert. She said it’s green……..I’m interested in seeing just how the beaver tail will play into this design. Another great episode.

Like the theory behind the design shape. Shirt is lime or chartreuse green. My wife and me always sees color different. Can’t wait to see actual water tests. The back shape of the lure looks like a inverted wing with the top surface having more area than the bottom surface thereby creating lift. Great principle application.

Yeah I was going to say chartreuse mint. I'm guessing he lost a bet.😂😂

Great design so far. The beavertail makes perfect sense to offset the tendency for the bib to angle down too much. I'd call that shirt color "wedding mint green". I am anxiously awaiting the paint job and testing.

your shirt is neon-mint!!! with some golden scales over it it will look like the back of a young sandeal. nice inspiratition,thank you. at the moment iam working on the total other side, i need a lure that casts in strong wind and hold the line tight, without running too deep or flipping arround. all of that in more or less fingersice, and ca20g. so i made a sinking popper, and it seeams to work. but it needs some more lead and iam not sure where to place it. i think more to the middle,to get the whiggle.

Neon mint...ok. I would add the weight about a third back...good luck.

Another very informative and very good video! I look forward to every Friday 👍Since you inspired me to build bait myself, maybe you can help me. My resin copies have small holes, even after painting with epoxy. How can I close these holes? Tried many primers and varnishes to no avail... 6x epoxy top coat helps but then all the intricate carvings and details are gone. Would be grateful for your help. Some lures I did well, how can I send you photos? Greetings Henrik

Would it be possible to make a bait that runs deep but also with the body in a flatter more natural angle?
@EngineeredAngler Жыл бұрын
Sure...I was trying to exaggerate all the elements that go into a deep diver.

Only new to your Chanel and now a subscriber, Love how you think it all through backed by engineering. I realise that’s the idea of your videos but I find it really useful. I have a question and if it is covered in your other vid please tell me and I will hopefully find it but does the physical size have any bearing on depth? I assume depending on type of wood will also but like for like same wood two different sizes everything else the same will it affect the depth?
@EngineeredAngler2 жыл бұрын
Welcome aboard! The wood will make a difference if you don't correct for it's difference in density. So, a lighter wood will need a bit more ballast, and vise-a-versa. You should definitely watch the three master class vids, and check out the "crankbait design and build" playlist. Cheers.
