Awesome stuff mate, as you said it doesn't matter what the lure looks like it all comes down to performance, and if it performs how it should or how you want it to then that should get fish, the flashy stuff is just added extra for looks and to be honest most fish or nearly all fish don't care what a lure looks like, it's how it behaves in the water, great video, cracking fish, nice job 👍 👌

Great change of pace. Never stop asking "what if.....". A Dremel tool would probably lessen the time required for the popper face shaping. With the multitude of attachments, you could carve a Mona Lisa into a dowel, add some hooks, and it'll probably catch some fish. Keep up the good work.

That is a really cool idea. Whenever I catch a truly special fish, I retire the lure that caught it. Just to remember that special experience. You should hang that one up. Make a new one, and use that one. Also, how can anyone give this video a thumbs down???

Here's a free trick to make a very strong wire through, where you can't see the twist. First an "eye bend" on the wire, where the loose end is a bit longer than the plug. Stick through and make the other end the same, so you end up with an eye in each end, and loose ends sticking out beside them. Then you twist the two eyes, so the wire locks around it self, and shortens up, so your eyes only stick halfway out, which also makes it stronger.

Why did you go to the deeper part of the pier instead of remaining shallow seems to me like it is harder to handle and more weight to pull upwards.....I can't think of what would make it easier, faster, or more manageable to land fish at end of pier?????

Lol "A Poor Craftsman Always Blame's Their Tool's". I have drawers full of the exact same tool's lol. As long as the fish like the lure where's the problem? The hair's make it look even more realistic as a field mouse that's covered in the thing's. Your catch wasn't exactly a minnow so maybe the cheap brushes worked after all. Yep you did good.... Real good congratulations on your PB.👍😷👍 IT WAS A STONKER 👍😷👍 Take care my friend.

An idea. What if you took the paddle bit and drilled a hole 3 inches in. Then cut across the hole. This will give you 2 popper mouths one on each side of the hole. This would save you a lot of arm work with the sandpaper on the pipe. Just my 2 cents.
