I don't understand why they didn't slow the boat down to an idol so they could have caught that nice 100 lb yellowfin idle is all you need you don't have to go that fast to keep them on

The last time I went out on the boats was out of Galveston around 2,000. The Snapper limit was down to 4 and half the boat didn't get a limit! I started fishing the party boats back in the 60's and remember coming in with huge stringers of Snapper hanging all the way around the rim of the overhang. We paid guys at the dock .25 cents a fish to clean them for us. Those days are long gone, but you made me remember them, so thanks. If my health would've allowed it, I would've been on a few long range trips myself! But, they were just starting the long trips when I quit fishing in the Gulf.

I have decided the Tunas are not "missing" when we see a blow up but no hookup. There is no way that apex predator "misses" the slow straight moving lure, I think at the last minute they say "oh hell no" and pull off of it

Does the charter rent gears and sell lures and jigs that is hot for the water? Or we’d have to bring our own gear and tackle?
