If possible do your drilling holes first so you have something to hang on to or clamp more securely . Just a tip from a retired Toolmaker from Down Under in Australia

WOW, I can see me making a run (12-15) of these and giving them to my buddies for returning a favor. For a guy thats still working in the trades. One of these in your pocket or tool belt would be a great addition. Especially that beer bottle cap opener, Thats a mandatory part of this tool.

Nice project. Only thing o would change is to omit the bottle opener. It weakekens the tool and is unnecessary as the average edc carrier has three bottle openers. From a custom knife maker and machinist.

Nice idea. Even if I don't follow your design, I hadn't even thought of it until I saw your video and I realized that there is not much to these in terms of production, materials, parts and process-wise. A few minutes ago, I wondered about making a can-opener from a solid piece of metal for a one-piece construction-design similar to a bottle-opener.

and what exactly would you need the bottle opener for? i mean, its not hard to open a bottle with the pry bar itself.... But i guess, every takticool thing out there must have one.
@NghiaHoang-nt4ib4 жыл бұрын
some people don't know how to use a leverage to open bottle, so the bottle opener still make sense, and if he measure right that hole can double as a 1/4 inch bit driver
@johnf40854 жыл бұрын
I don't feel the need for the bottle opener either, but here's a thought: it'll keep the edge sharp. Not that it'll matter much; you'll avoid using the edge to use the bottle opener instead only 1/100 times.

yeah, but that's what separates us. some would rather make something to size and fit for their tasks and not be tied down to sizing for 5'8" medium sized hands. plus, a sense of accomplishment. plus, i didn't send my money out of the country to make it, plus, since what he's doing here will only encompass a few hours labor, (depending on your hand finishing preferences), you also have a tool you'll never have to replace because it was chinesium junk that chipped or snapped and became unuseable in 2 months. how many more reasons do you need to learn to do shit for yourself?
