Hi, sorry for the late response, yes if you can use a good mold release wax and fill any imperfections

Do you not get splinters from that? Or is it different from like fiberglass insulation? My dad used to have a fiberglass chair that was so cool. Looking back now it was probably MCM era.

Hello Technoindigo, I can get really itchy while sanding or rubbing on a freshly sanded area. I usually add some ‘surface seal’ to the resin which makes the dried edges of the fiberglass soft, not splintery. Your dad may had a potato chip chair (nickname). The generation era of those fiberglass chairs start around $1000-$1500 today, as collectibles.

@@westcoast_johnny It was the one piece of rounded fiberglass. Definitely an Eames, I’m sure. It was in the garage and sometimes outside so it didn’t hold up well and finally broke at some point when I was young.
