Reid, although it does fly, you could be getting much more efficient turning by putting your alierons on the back of the plane. The main wing ones should just be flaps and roll, rear ones should be pitch and yaw. (this is alot coming from a guy who cant even connect the transmission properly)

these kinda foldaway wing designs always remind me of the bikes from stormhawks. it was an alright show but those bikes were a pretty interesting concept. if i had this game id definitely attempt to make something like that

This was a pretty cool project and there’s now way I could get it done better anytime soon. But as an aviation enthusiast I have noticed your plane designs use something that doesn’t make sense. Instead of putting your up/down controls on the wings, make a horizontal tail with the moving surfaces at the back. This gives you a larger moment arm and makes it look more like a plane. With the larger arm, you get to use smaller surfaces with less deflection to get the same effect, meaning your wings will always produce lift and your controls won’t cause nearly as a large of a loss of lift and increase in drag.

3:16 Heyyy Fallout 1 reference. That's probably still my favorite Fallout game, and it's a shame how few people have played it. Edit: Actually Fallout 2. I was close though.

@@CasualGearheads Oh yeah Fallout 1's was just a skeleton. I also really enjoyed Fallout 2, being a lot bigger than the first, my main issue being that there's a lot more random stuff to trudge through. Still an amazing game and a solid favorite nonetheless. Also I'm pretty sure, based on the inflection of the 'you have died' used in this video I think the whole quote for this one is "You have died... along with everyone else on the Earth. The Enclave triumphs releasing the FEV virus into the atmosphere"

@@Smenchevieve I rather enjoyed the random stuff in Fallout2 since that gave it a bit more material for replayability and different paths. Technically both can be completed in under 10 minutes per game. But that's for masochists. :D

Honest question - how does one enjoy the first two Fallout games? I've given the first game a try but everything i did just felt completely lifeless because of how often everything fails for no damn reason. Eventually i just quit after my hand wouldnt stop aching from constantly having to quicksave and quickload to not get screwed over by the game's absolutely horrid RNG. Like, i really really tried to enjoy it even a little bit, but the longer i played it the more it felt like a chore rather than a game, and it genuinely makes me sad because i wish i could experience the entirety of the franchise.

@@camillecirrus3977 If you want to try preparing for things rather than jumping in with the bare minimum and praying for good rng, that is generally the most advised way of playing things. If you're having a hard time tanking hits, look for better armor. Hard time dealing damage, look for better weaponry or build a character to be proficient with the weapons you want to use. There are ways to avoid combat altogether by utilizing stealth or manually activating combat before an enemy sees you, walk by them, then cancel it when you're out of range. Stuck in a specific area? Leave, and come back with better gear or try to look for a side quest or alternatr path that gives an advantage (Fallout and Fallout 2 love giving those. Hard to find but worth the effort) For plot and world building, I find the first two games did a way better job with keeping an interesting story while maintaining a realistic world than the Bethesda titles. However the later Fallout games are still fun enough to play (barring 3) that they still hold valuable places on my shelves.

You could try a more conventional plane design with using the wings purely for lift and rolls, and using "elevators" mounted on the rear to control pitch

I've noticed in a few of your videos now that you use "flaps" on the main wings to control your pitch instead of elevators on a tail fin. Is there a reason for this? You'd be able to get much more control out of a tail fin while sacrificing less of your lift when pitching up. :o
