Making a Foam Mirelurk Claw from Fallout

The Fallout TV series is here and I started replaying Fallout 4. In Far Harbor and other irradiated water areas of the game, you can find the large creatures known as mirelurk. So I figured why not make my own mirelurk claw. For this build, I used: 48 mm and 10mm, contact cement, Mod Podge, Plasti Dip, spray paint, and some acrylic paint. You may also need the following tools: a Dremel with various bits, a heat gun, and an Exacto knife or box cutter. Same, watched the series, then went and bought Fallout 4 GOTY edition. They finally added ultra widescreen support. It's super cheap on steam right now. Great prop and vid!

I have played through Fallout 4 over a dozen times and find new stuff every time. It is such a cool game. I hope the next iteration of the series is more like it and not like 76. I also love that this new interest will bring about more cosplay and Fallout related builds from other makers and fans.

Cannot believe the insane detail that went into it. That paint job is phenomenal. I'm personally not all that much into fallout, but I can appreciate the pure skill and dedication that went into making this.

I tried recording it for people to see, and the footage didn't turn out well. It was a windy day, and the lighting was not great. Our Texas weather this past week has been a crap shoot, as you know.😄

Easy way to do a template for a weapon it to print it out to scale and then just figure out how to build out the layers with basic shapes. Then add or carve the details

😄 I don't know. I try my best to make good, consistent content, but the KZbin algorithm has never really pushed my channel out. And not a lot of people share my videos according to my analytics. I will just continue building what I want and having fun, then maybe someday the views will catch up.
