Depends on the cost of materials in your location. Where I am for the wood, plywood, glue, wood stain and leather it was all under €50 euro. But that was 3 years ago. Since then prices have increased significantly.

Yes the 5 minute version is for those who can't afford to spend 17 mins watching the original which in itself is only highlights of the several days it took to make the stand.

@@johncamarano183 No not $5k. The disk sander was ~$200, Metabo miter saw ~$300, Bosch drill press ~$230, Makita cordless drill about ~$100, Makita jigsaw ~$150, the clamps are cheap $10 each. So about $1k.

@@AviMus82 Most of my tools are budget low end. I don't have fancy festool or Fein stuff. But you could do this project with hand saws and nails instead of screws so you would need a coping saw for the curved cuts a standard hand saw for cutting straight, a bit and brace for drilling the holes and a hammer for the nails. Of course you need a knife for the leather and glue etc It would take longer with only hand tools. But it can be done.
